Wrestlemania X-Seven in 2001 was incredible. Check this match list out, definitely worth a rewatch if you are feeling nostalgic. Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit Chris Jericho vs. William Regal Kane vs. Big Show vs. Raven (Hardcore) Eddie Guerrero vs. Test Chyna vs. Ivory Vince McMahon vs. Shane McMahon (Street fight, Mick Foley special guest referee) Hardys vs. Dudleys vs. Edge & Christian (Tables, Ladders and Chairs) Undertaker vs. Triple H Rock vs. Stone Cold one of truly the greatest shows ever made this was the hype video for the main event with rock and austin set to limp bizkit was a true masterpiece wwe does tend to knock it out of the park with these intro/hype videos, the daniel bryan one set too monster by imagine dragons is one of the best ever done for me

The Saudi’s are buying it aren’t they?
We’ll have our first ever Beheaded Alive match at Wrestlemania.

I know Vince is always money orientated but surely he's not gonna sell to the Saudi's?

Can't see this ending well for WWE. Wrestlemania in Saudi will be awful, and I assume it'll see the end of the women's division?!

If this goes through you can probably forget The Rock or Cena doing the Rumble/Mania.
Penny for Sami Zayn's thoughts as well.

Rock in particular isn’t going to want his brand associated with the Saudis I wouldn’t have thought.

I think it be one of the big tv networks in the US that will eventually get it? NBC seem to be the name battered about, Dave Meltzer is a good source of info, so is the YouTube channel ‘Wrestlelamia’.
Right now it’s worrying that Vince is back especially when Triple H had seemed to give freedom to the commentators & brought back good talent such as Bray Wyatt, Braun Showman plus got NXT back.
Hopefully Vince will leave creative alone, but it doesn’t look good since Steph has now stepped down.

Think that’s why he sees the Saudis as a good bet, they’ll allow him to have all that where a Disney or NBC might have their own ideas or want to modernise.

Apparently the Saudi Arabian government insisted Yokozuna and the Ultimate Warrior wrestle over there in 2018. Both of them being dead threw a spanner in the works.

Yeh true, Vince Russo played his part!! Yeah, Bischoff too really.[/ Feels like a classic WWE storyline, only Vince could mastermind this, could it see a new company being developed with a break away faction run by Steph/Shane McMahon? AEW grew in a short space even though the CM Punk fiasco has been a bit of a bad egg recently?

Your new WWE Champion.....Kenny Omega I can't see it in all honesty, but stranger things have happened Would it be as big of a shock than when Vince brought WCW? The other question would it be good for wrestling as a whole (if it happened)? Tony khan & AEW have worked with New Japan Wrestling & Impact previously with crossovers? I would welcome it if there was still separation organisations but crossover matches? In all honesty I hope that Vince doesn’t screw everything up, I’m not an active viewer of RAW, Smackdown or NXT. But I enjoy some of the content especially Bray Wyatt’s return & white rabbit lead. Triple H seemed to be getting the main roster interesting again like when he rebirthed NXT with Balor, Wyatt, Samoa Joe plus much more… other old school wrestlers (Road Dogg, Regal, Michael’s) appear to be good behind the scenes.

To me, that’d be bigger than WWE buying WCW. This would be AEW, who have existed for what, nearly 3 years, buying the biggest promotion in wrestling history. They have the money to bankroll for sure, and if they kept Trips in charge of creative, it wouldn’t be the end of the world at all. And Regal could consider his new role at WWE all but secure if they bought them, Tony has a lot of respect for Regal. Now what sort of role they’d give Vince, who knows? For certain, that madman needs to be kept away from creative before we get something completely fucking stupid like Goldberg winning the big one again.
