Friday 7pm
Think he’ll go same side given he was able to make numerous changes yesterday and rotate with ease

No reason to change the line up or formation. Go for the jugular and get qualified

I have lived in both these countries. But have you ever shagged a Welsh bird in the States and a Yankee bird in Wales?

We should beat the USA even if we had Dwight Gayle playing up front. Go for the juggler, qualify and then play the stiffs against the taffs.

Looks like the Kane ankle news is positive www.telegraph.co.uk/world-cup/2022/11/23/harry-kane-england-injury-boost-scan-reveals-no-significant/England are optimistic that captain Harry Kane has not suffered any significant damage to his ankle after the striker underwent a scan. Manager Gareth Southgate must still decide whether or not to start Kane against the United States on Friday, but the news on his injury was treated as encouraging within the England camp. There is optimism that Kane will not be ruled out of the World Cup or miss any large part of the tournament while the Football Association waited to provide any official confirmation of the scan result. Kane was sent for a scan after undergoing a heavy challenge in the victory over Iran, which both the player and Southgate were unconcerned about on Monday night. The FA said that Kane took part in an indoor recovery session on Tuesday and it remains unclear whether or not the scan was booked as a precaution or because he felt any additional discomfort.

US of A were quite physical in there opening game.
It’s like supporting Stoke. Over 24hrs to go and I am starting to feel nervous. 😀

We're definitely going to give their keeper a workout tomorrow, but will our Strikers be able to put one past him? I'm hoping for three but could take a tie since I know we'll gives Wales a bumming next week like we did Iran.

USA looked good first half v Wales. Then Kieffer Moore changed the game. Moore is a decent target bloke but if he's bringing you unstuck you're beatable 😁

Come on England 🏴 I think the suggestion was before the Iran game that Foden would come in for Sakha but having scored two that probably won't happen Every player played well including Mount (& including all the subs) I'd play the same side

I'd like Foden for Mount but happy if he sticks.
It's a 2 hour bus journey one way to get to LA's British brewery in time for the game. So Gareth better not fuck this one up!

Not sure on Foden for Mount. Foden never looks particularly comfortable in that slightly deeper role, whereas it’s arguably Mount’s best position. Think Mount is underrated in keeping the ball moving and picking up intelligent positions so I wouldn’t be in any rush to drop him, even if he never looks spectacular.

I rather like the more adventurous Southgate. It works against Iran but may not be as effective against better quality opposition. That said, it's likely his last tournament and the fans want more of an attacking focus. If it, as I suspect, ends up being to the detriment of us getting far in the competition, then so be it. At least we'll go down swinging and hopefully get a couple of goals in a 3-2 or 4-2 defeat. I just hope if / when that does happen, the same fans don't then complain that we were poor defensively.

I'd stick for Friday, but expecting a much tougher game. In part because USA seemed better than Iran and in part because they know what to expect.
1-1, which I'll take going into the Wales game.

I think you're selling yourself short Graham, in my opinion. Southgate needs to open the gate and let the lads out. Kick out the jams or whatever moniker you guys slap on it - ungodly, merciless all-out attack from the first kick. Get your money's worth. Saka to them, baby and go up swinging, not down!
2 reasons - 1) I think everyone including me selfishly wants to see what all this England attack can get up to. They love passing to one another so let's go! I've got my popcorn. 2) There's nothing like keeping your defense fresh and mistakes down by spending most of the match in their half. I think you do that and we have no answer. Yeah I feel that "on the break" lurking back there too, but kind of like you said, it's a risk of this business. But you guys manage 3 or more goals and we'll need 2 games to catch up.
Southgate has nothing to fear. Just take this group and get it over with. Seriously

Thought USA were terrible second half v Wales, couldn't cope once Wales had changed their play They will be parking the bus though Really should be winning this match Wales will be harder than USA
