CHOICE: spend loads of money on players MORE than FFP WILL allow.............or go down!!!!! ..... gamble on a good side negating the inevitable Points deduction !!! OR go down anyway ...... your choice Coates Twist for me and chuck the cash at it or face relegation. This club can not afford go down. Realistically how much would it take?

All 6 loanees need to go to give some room for manoeuvre. Our new Director of Whatever needs to earn his money and find a way.
If the Bursik money isn’t enough to move in the transfer market, I would look at moving any or all of Brown, Baker and Wilmot.

Nobody will pay money as they’re all crap. Only soutter in the current squad will get a contract better than they are currently on when they move. The rest? Christ if Morgan fox gets a league 2 he’s done well.

Who is playing us off the pitch? Like AN has said after every game, we are pretty much dominating every stat apart from silly mistakes in defence or keeper, and putting it in the onion bag. So like i said 2 or 3 signings could make all the difference. If we had 6 passes today and no attempts I'd be worried.

It’s completely irrelevant if you are easy to score against and end up losing the game. Stating the obvious football is a results business and we look likely to concede no matter the opposition. No ability to battle back from adversity and a general soft underbelly. We had no real threat on their goal today either. It’s poor and I don’t see any of this dominating you’re referencing either. We lack aggression and a ruthless side and we are in big trouble

We are in real risk of relegation here, and for that reason we need to sell Souttar ASAP, to fund 4-5 transfers we desperately need.
New GK, CB, CDM, Winger, Striker
My team would then be:
- - - - - - - NEW GK CLARKE - NEW CB - JAGIELKA - TYMON - - - BAKER - - NEW CDM CAMPBELL -- POWELL - - NEW LW - - - - - NEW STRIKER
We simply have too many gaps and not enough funds, prepare for League 1 if we keep Souttar, as much as I like him

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/sheffield-united-stoke-live-stream-8030638Sanctioned Joe Bursik exit to Club Brugge - do you have a goalkeeper lined up to bring in?Neil: We'll have to wait and see between now and the end of the window. There are a lot of moving parts at the moment, a lot of dynamics that are in play. What I don't want to do is say something and further down the line it doesn't come to fruition and people come back to it. We'll wait and see. But clearly you want to bring in a couple sooner rather than later?Neil: We've got work to do behind the scenes so we've got a lot to think about.

It would be completely stupid to do it at this stage in our position. Getting more than a 10pt bounce out of it in the rest of the season is highly unlikely. I thought there was some merit to it as an idea in the Summer but now it's absolutely pointless. Somehow we're going to have to get through to the end of the season on the cheap. Thankfully it's a really poor league.

www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0dt2k2zThere was a longer Neil interview pre-match on Radio Stoke at 19:10 and 39:35 "We've got 2 or 3 different plans depending on what happens with our own players, how many slots that frees up, how much cash we've got to spend. There's whole different dynamics that can change things quite dramatically, so we're preparing for each eventuality just in case it comes to fruition" "We're actively looking at targets, we're making sure we're keeping different players active in terms of speaking to them and their agents. And we're doing that with our own players as well depending on where they see their futures, so there's a lot of moving parts" "Loan transfers in should be supplementing the squad, and should only be ones you've got no right to have at your club, and that's why you only get the opportunity to loan them in. But we've been having to do it just to supplement numbers because of the predicament we've found ourselves in at the start of the season" "There are always loans available - but it's what's available and what you'd like. There's those 2 different groups, and we've got to make sure the ones coming in have an impact in the team - different to what's already here and adding something. If not. we're not moving things forward"

Guess at least there’s only one league game left in Jan.

Clarke and Tymon as fullbacks!!?? That's a recipe for disaster! A pure myth that tymon cannot play LB in a 4 Tymon is a pretty awful defender, much better going forwards. We really need (and have done for at least 6 years) proper full backs/wing backs. It's a problem that has plagued us. Erik Peters wasn't the greatest but different class to anything we currently have, or have had, in that position since he left. And he left apparently due to something that happened off the pitch and not on it. Can't recall what it was unfortunately.
