I got a new stove. I have to buy a new frying pan. My old one is thrown away, well used it was. I have thought about a 100% stainless steel pan, and without the non-stick surface.
Maybe an Orrefors? There are also Russell Hobbs, Jamie Oliver and others out there.
Smeg is too expensive.
Recommendations?

'kinel, And I thought I couldn't make a decision ! Your missing the larger, Zen picture. Not every journey will end with a destination. This is another beautiful insight into the wonderful mind of Musik. Dont look directly into the OP. Look around edges.

I do tend to find my ring doesn’t seem to get as hot with the glass. Not sure I would even try a cast iron skillet on it.

As far as I'm aware, Kinel saucepans are unavailable in Sweden. Looking at the prices on some of Musik’s Smegs maybe they should be. Never heard of Kinel. Thought you meant Kindle. Musik's Smegs? Eehh ... I don't have that brand. I have Silit, Skeppshult and Anders Petter as brands in the kitchen so far. But when it comes to the pan I've thought stainless steel would be suitable for the glass hob (HighLight hob), am I right? It isn't induction, it's halogen apparently.

I have discovered there are four symbols at the bottom of my saucepan.
Indicating it's for Gas Induction Electric Glass Ceramic
It seems I have the last type of these four. When it comes to speed it's similar to the old electric with ironbased plates. Even though the manual says it's the fastest stove without being induction. Untrue, gas is faster than mine.
The model btw is no longer in their production line up. It's an old model.

Important decision to be made.
Do you do Cheese and Oatcake in the new pan or under the grill ? 🤔

Important decision to be made. Do you do Cheese and Oatcake in the new pan or under the grill ? 🤔 I have to try both. Ordered the 100% stainless steel frying pan from Orrefors Jernverk today.

I used the new frying pan for the first time three hours ago. I was pleased with the result; the vego burger tasted really nice.
Made some chips in the oven too. So I'm pleased with the stove and oven as well.
It's not as shiny where the burger has been.
I will make something else later tonight.

You don’t have to make the chips in the oven mate, it’s probably best to do that on a chopping board then transferring them into the oven😉

I think I will do a new one with more chips soon, this time with meat.
Had no ketchup or garlic dressing, so I used Ajvar relish.

It's actually very tasty
Ajvar is commonly prepared in the fall, making use of the abundant harvest of red bell peppers, which are charred over a fire, peeled, and combined with roasted eggplant, garlic, oil, and vinegar, for a sauce that can be canned and eaten throughout the rest of the year
