It's just a load of people chewing the fat on a football message board whilst bored at work, lying in bed, having a dump or whatever it may be. The same folk just banging on time after time about what should and should be commented on, how it should be commented on, the tone of how it's commented on. Zzzzzzzzzzz. No one's trying to change the world here it's just a bit of fun to pass the time away, they're so fucking tedious.................. I've said it time and again; nobody gobbing off on here, that holds either set of views, would talk to each other the way the spout off on here if they were down the pub. It just wouldn't happen. Those that did would get ignored and soon scuttle off. I try to remain as disengaged as possible from the political stuff, I don't understand how some posters seem prepared to make the time and effort to post what seems like hourly diatribes on subjects they're regurgitating responses to from some rag, columnist or social media bullshit they follow. The point scoring that goes on is pathetic. Inferiority complexes, superiority complexes pah. We're all just a bunch of retards with nothing better to do than chat shit on here, no more & no less. I'm dreading what this place becomes during the next General Election season. I cant wait for the end of " This Tory government is a Blah Blah Blah" Wonder how long before it's replaced by a "This Labour Government......."

They do nothing of the sort. Yeah righto Arguing with someone isn't trying to close them down, it's an attempt to open them up. The real problem is that some people don't like being challenged and expect their views to be taken at face value, haven't really thought through their position or have started to realise their views don't make sense and rather than admit they might be wrong get uppity and defensive and accuse the person trying to engage in a debate of closing them down. If someone has bought into an idea heart and soul it becomes part of their identity so if the idea is challenged they experience it as a personal attack. Unquestioning belief isn't particularly healthy - in fact it's proven to be downright dangerous over the years and tends to be those people who end up being the book burners and the ones who forcibly close down debate. I know I'm an argumentative bastard and at times may have gone overboard (for which I apologise). However I don't argue with people to close them down - in fact more often than not they close themselves down because they aren't used to being challenged. Arguement is healthy.

I dated an Argentinian lady for a while about 5 years ago. Lovely human being and so were her other Argentinian friends. They deserve better than what they have been getting. I’m always very wary of politicians running on corruption platforms. They rarely make things better and usually do the opposite.

I give it about a week at most after taking power What will confuse all those who react badly on here to any kind of non-rightwing viewpoint or challenge is that most of those non-rightwingers will just as readily hold the Labour government to account as well! And so they should. Our leaders should be held to account. It's bad enough that the royals get smoke blown up their collective arses whatever they do. Christ help us all if the media adopts this approach across the board with our politicians.

S America appears to me to be a very strange and volatile place politically. There rarely seem to be any particularly stable governments of any description. I'm aware that that is a massive generalisation and would happily be pointed in the direction of examples that set me straight on that.

Incidentally if I had money in bitcoin I'd be crapping myself - attaching a tanking economy of that size into an investment portfolio isn't something to celebrate. If Argentina doesn't solve the underlying problems of its raging inflation they will simply transfer it into bitcoin and if that happens the value of bitcoin will plummet.

I think that Uruguay are getting into a better place: www.state.gov/reports/2021-country-reports-on-human-rights-practices/uruguay/“Uruguay stands out in Latin America for being an egalitarian society and for its high income per capita, low level of inequality and poverty and the almost complete absence of extreme poverty. Their crime rates have also started to drop: www.macrotrends.net/countries/URY/uruguay/crime-rate-statistics#:~:text=Uruguay%20crime%20rate%20%26%20statistics%20for,a%2048.55%25%20increase%20from%202017.

Things are continuing to go very well in the South American settlement of Eldorado. Utopia is also very pleasant, apparently just off the coast of South America. I have not been to either place yet.

I remember a president of theirs that legalised weed in 2013 against the wishes of many other nations, lived in the small house he always lived in and gave his presidential salary away. Something of a better example to set than that lunatic in Argentina, Trump, Johnson etc have managed, glad it's all turning out well.

How will the price of bitcoin plummet when they have to market buy it in the first place? If their economy still struggles they’ll be forced to sell at a loss. Bitcoin continues being bitcoin. The word you are looking for is out-of-touch
