The police appear to have done an excellent job in managing both protests. No surprise this morning that more EDL dickheads were arrested for violent disorder, nor that the Police themselves have blamed Braverman for stirring things up. Awful woman. |

Either side flag shagging their way around the streets intimidating the general public just trying to get on with their day.
A microcosm of human relations regarding religion and boundaries over thousands of years. Proof perfect as to why it'll never be resolved by amicable means.

What do we know so far...Palestine ceasefire march passes off peacefully. Rightwing EDL type whackjob march (that wouldn't have happened at all if it wasn't for the Home Secretary and Tory client press indulging in a week of shit-stirring to rile up the hard of thinking) turns violent. Who'd have thought it! How long before the Home Secretary and the Tory press try to attribute the violence to the Palestine protest? Fucking idiots! Genuinely amused that this backfired so spectacularly on them.  Well, well, what a surprise. I bet this story has as much veracity as their "poppy seller punched" front page that no doubt helped to get dozens of the EDL dickheads down to London. Funnily enough almost all the Tory tabloids have done this. Ignored the fact that far more arrests took place out of far fewer rightwing nutjobs and tried to make out they were as bad as each other. But then that's because they were desperate for the EDL lot to be involved as they simply couldn't have the main march passing off peacefully. There had to be trouble somewhere so they could associate it with the Palestine march. As predictable and as tawdry as it is transparent and pathetic. Even the police are blaming Braverman for inciting trouble. |

Suella Braverman, a right wing politician, said that the pro-Palestinian march would cause trouble and be ignored by the police. What happened was the hundreds of thousands in that march were generally peaceful and did not cause problems. They are marching to promote peace in Gaza and Israel so it isn’t surprising they were largely peaceful. The small number of anti-patriotic right wing people were violent thugs and arrested. Lots of the pro-Palestine marchers would have been Muslim. I have not seen the left wing of British politics call Suella racist. If what you say is correct, they of course would have done. She has instead been very rightly criticised for stoking violence. And the critics were proved absolutely right. Yesterday was a very bad day for the right of English politics. Which is great for this country. |
