Was banter banned in1975? I think the UK ban on banter came in around 2019, all comedians are now on the dole. Anyone trying to be light hearted and provoke laughter can be taken to the tower of London and dismembered. I think your rainbow, non gender unicorn needs feeding...Vegan and gluten friendly of course

Do you know whose ground that is, in the photo? Cheers I think (not 100%) it’s Bramhall Lane. Sure I remember somebody telling me that some of the ground scenes were filmed there. Google says many of the shots of the football ground were at Reading's Elm Park Although the club was supposed to be northern but unnamed

It looks like a far bigger club.

Nothing to do with management but here is an American woman patiently explaining the offside rule to three top-level ex-professionals of the European men's game (who are, frankly, struggling to get their heads around it). If that's not progress then I don't know what is

Definitely Bramall lane. The 'Tony Currie' stand! He was very much in that fast living, football genius school of the time which included our own Alan Hudson, Stan Bowles, Gerry Francis and Rodney Marsh. None of them could hold a candle to the god father George Best of course, they were all indebted to him.

No objections to a female football manager, unlike some who seem to struggle with the concept altogether. It would be an interesting dynamic. There's absolutely no reason a female manager couldn't lead with authority. Female managers exist in pretty much all workplaces EXCEPT footballer, so as long as they lead by example, set expectations, track commitments and ensure objectives are being met, then there's no reason they shouldn't succeed in football.
However, I expect the whole Emma Hayes MK Dons situation a few years back galvanised the fears around being the first professional club to employ a female manager. Emma Hayes is arguably one of the best female managers around. MK Dons expressed a polite interest and rather than respectfully declining the job, she went on the offensive. She was then royally roasted on Twitter and it turned into your typical 'sexist-this-sexist-that' debate. In that moment, when she had the opportunity to demonstrate a calm level head, she acted with volatility and emotion; two characteristics that are associated with being on the losing team (think Kevin Keegan, Newcastle).
Was Emma Hayes beaten by sexism? No. She decided the job wasn't a step up, acted somewhat irrationally and was absolutely roasted on Twitter for it. Some of the comments were indeed sexist, but had she played it like an absolute champ, nobody would have said a word. She fell into a trap, that nobody set.

Maybe the pro-mo photo was at Sheffield and the football scenes shot at Elm park, I saw it first time round and quite liked it, might give it another go, seem to remember Cheri giving us a cheeky flash in a bedroom scene.
