Someone else the police should be arresting for violence against a peaceful protestor...... Fuckin idiots.......this nonsense wont stop the O&G companies whatever anyone says. Theyve got literally trillions and trillions of dollars/pounds/euros tied up in assets, so this is NOT going to change their minds..... They arent protesting against the oil companies. They are protesting about our government giving said O&G companies with trillions and trillions our tax money for 'research etc' and new licences to carry out more exploratory drilling. Its been said a few times what they are protesting about but people don't seem to understand, looks like they need to do more to get the message across  |

I do believe that people should be treated with compassion and rehabilitated….it is more effective and it is cheaper in the long run. I do believe that people should go to prison for violent crimes, regardless of who it is against. It is possible to have more complex considerations on a matter that doesn’t appear to be so black and white. I also don’t believe “he inconvenienced my day” should be a reasonable defence for kicking someone in the head. |

Talking of criminal behaviour. A funny way of condemning someone for punching a protestor to the ground and kicking him in the head Dave but each to their own......... Why do I have to condemn him? I don't really care about him. He'll get what's coming to him I'm sure. What I do know is that in those two videos, only two people got out of bed this morning intent on committing a crime. |

Looks like he chose to get out and give it some and make himself late. Even more ridiculous when it transpires the bloke in the red cap had pulled out in front of the van and pranged his car before the march even got there. They tend to make you late for work RTC's |

I'm sure he'll be in for GBH or ABH, kicking someone in the head when down on the floor is plain cowardice, and we all know the 1 punch can kill cases that have happened. Depending on previous, he's got a bit of time inside coming his way. Somebody will be killed soon. Somebody will indeed be killed soon. So what are we going to do to prevent that happening, it appears Just Stop Oil aren't going to stop anytime soon and frustrated members of the public aren't going to (understandbly) stop getting angry? IMHO, the police have to swiftly arrest anybody blocking the public highways, the country would collapse if any Tom, Dick or Harry who believed they had a legitimate grievance, decided to block the road at any time of their choosing. |

Every Westernised or developed country causes damage. All anyone can really do is affect what's going on in their own country. Pointing fingers and saying 'they're worse than us so why bother' is just whataboutery isn't it? We as a nation need to do something. If others decide not to do anything then at least we're in good conscience knowing that we at least tried. I don't really get the disdain for people who's only crime is wanting to protect the planet, for everyone. |
