I feel that this manager will get us promoted. If not this season probably next. The players are looking hungrier and have a role they stick to, players who seemed substandard are looking competent. In January AN can tweak the squad accordingly. If we are around top eight in January we may get play offs. Next season more money will be available and if not already promoted the signs are excellent for next season. Don’t forget we have a manager who knows how to get promoted, with three promotions in 8 seasons in management. Another flurry into the promised land beckons! 👍 I agree, but looking at this promised land I have been watching this season and bar the odd side it's been shit. West ham Everton Villa Wolves Newcastle Leeds I could name them all bar probably man citeh, spurs and arsenal. The rest have been and produced absolute shit boring watches. Everyone outside a handful of teams too shit scared to cross the halfway line most of the time. I thought this season was going be the best in the premier Leagues history. So far I think it's the worst.

He was always a bell end when he managed Norwich and Preston against us. Niggly teams which probably weren't unlike Pulis' Stoke sides.

My mistake, all the time. Quite obvious what this poster's agenda is, to keep sniping at the manager despite him only being in the role for a short period time and currently trying to sort out the omnishambles left by his predecessor. I was hoping he'd get bored and spam another forum but seemingly no other club wants to employ the useless fucker he idolises.

It was funny listening to the QPR commentator. He said variations of "Well, what do you expect from an Alex Neil team?" about 3 or 4 times.
Very amusing to hear him getting more and more agitated.

Yes, QPR clearly have some 'previous' with Alex Neil it seems, I don't think they are the only ones. Honestly I don't think this is bad thing for us, we have had sand kicked in our faces for way too long!

He doesn't need to be popular with opposition fans. He just needs to do a job here, which will ultimately make him popular with his own.

Does anybody actually give a flying fuck, what other people think of us!? Looks like we’re getting our mojo back. Yes I do. I would like SCFC to be respected and have a reputation for playing good football, as well as doing the dark arts - when necessary. And yes- winning is the b all and end all, there's no getting away from that. But, I actually dont want to walk into my local and get pelters from the Wolves, Villa, Liverpool, Manure brigade saying we can only win by foul means and ugly football. The grief I got in the TP reign was unbelievable, but I stood my ground and defended him to the hilt. Watched Real v Athletico last night - talk about shithousery! They are brutal.

Just noticed his press conference is on youtube
He's not happy with the non-penalty award, to say the least

Someone mentioned on the match day thread I think but listening to other radio stations commentators and they’re so biased. Think what we like of Nige and co but they aren’t biased most of the other stations commentators. I don’t think I could stomach it even if it was for us. It just serves no purpose.

Just noticed his press conference is on youtube He's not happy with the non-penalty award, to say the least I like the cut of his jib. Says it how he sees it with no messing around. Doesn't give the team an easy ride but also doesn't single out individuals or blame the younger players in particular. I definitely feel considerably more optimistic with Neil in charge than I have for a long old while.

Doubt that. Every other team they've played at home has managed as many goals, at least, as we managed shots on target. It was our third worst performance statistically after Boro and Reading. Well obviously the opinion of a QPR fan at the actual game has no credibility compared to someone who does graphs. Leave his pretty pictures alone. Legend has it that if he does enough of them then Michael O'Neill will whisk him away into the sunset on the back of a white horse.

I thought this was a very fair, entertaining and intelligent read: www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/58584/Apart from the stereotypical bit about Stoke specialising in journeymen over 30 quoting Flint and Gayle it is an honest assessment even admitting it looked like a blatant penalty to him and marking the ref down for getting it wrong.

No nonsense approach. Get the team playing with some pride, dig out the dogs of war mindset & let the rest of the league start hating us again as per the Premier League days
Thats a thumbs up from me

I wouldn't be surprised if the O'Neill family have asked for some sort of injunction. "Yes officer, he's here again. It looks like he has a pointy stick and some PowerPoint print offs this time. Oh, and he's got his cock out again"

I would be very happy if AN got us performing similar.

I would be very happy if AN got us performing similar. I wouldn't. For as much relative success we had, we were hated which is fine up to a point until the novelty wears off and you suffer the consequences - which in our case is a lifetime of being tarred with the brush that he lumbered us with. I want a manager to come in and be successful playing a decent brand of football. I'm done with anti football shithousing.
