That was just Nick Haywood, the rest of the band love lakes, it's what split them up in the end, very sad Not so sure...I think they met at an aquaphobics anonymous meeting . I mean, how many times did you see the Haircuts ride the swans on Alton Towers lake? Not even in the video for Fantastic Day. I rest my case Only because Merlin wouldn’t provide the Haircuts with denim life preservers! It’s in Haywood’s autobiography if you could be arsed to read it!

If you mean his biography ' My favourite shirt, love of jumpers and fear of all watery stuff' , I queued all day to get a signed copy at Waterstones. Unfortunately I got the wrong day and got Matthew Corbett's signed book instead.

I’ve always fancied Lanzarote. People are friendly, slow paced and decent weather, good food. What more could anyone want.

I'm still looking for a bit more of an active lifestyle but I hear Portugal has loads of camping, biking etc too? It sounds brilliant tbh. One of my best mates is Portuguese but she left because she couldn't find a job in our area that paid enough. Her husband works in fashion and it seemed like he could have settled there just fine. I just visited Turin and it looks like a wonderful place to live. I love loads of Italy but places like Florence are probably better to visit than live in. In the south, The Algarve, you've got everything to suit your taste. Albufeira is Portugal's (partial) answer to Ibetha and there's plenty of nightlife in Faro and Lagos. Loads of golf courses and hundreds of miles of off-road mountain biking too. The south coast is fantastic with miles of sandy beaches as well as isolated coves, and the west coast is rugged Atlantic cliffs at their best. In the north you have wonderful Lisbon and Porto where you can watch some nogger as well as having all the things in the south. It really is a country of differences so whatever turns you on holiday-wise, or living-wise, Portugal has it. And there's other things that are special; the people are warm and friendly and they love the Brits. That comes from us being their oldest ally. OS. From a climate point of view the North seems better long term. Love Albufeira though and have visited a few times on holiday. Braga seems a nice city to potentially emigrate to.

Illegal things, you mean? Not sure anyone disagrees with that But by tolerance, I meant not disliking, victimising or being prejudiced against someone purely because they are different in some (non-illegal) way. If you do ever live abroad and find yourself as the minority nationally or by colour or whatever, it generally makes you much more open-minded towards minorities in general than if you'd spent your entire life surrounded by the same kind of people. Not always, and not all people, but you only have to look at how majority white British born areas of the UK respond to immigration compared to areas which are more cosmopolitan. It's that fear and intolerance of anything different. When you've experienced the other side, it's bound to make you more open-minded about the whole issue, at least it ought to if you've got a brain between your ears. Plenty of people think it's ok mate. Those that didn't investigate the Rotherham grooming gangs incase they were called racist for example. You can dislike whoever you want . No one can tell you who to like or dislike , if you don't like a certain group that's your fre choice. I lived abroad for 3 years mate , I was an immigrant and didn't speak a word of the local lingo . I have no problem with immigrants as long as they aren't here to take the piss , immigration is the least of my concern. I prefer many immigrants to native Brits. You must have me mistaken for someone that's anti immigrant which I most definitely aren't. Did you not say to me yesterday that if Labour were in we'd have 4x the immigrants. And you used that as part of your argument for why the UK would be worse if we had a Labour goverment for the last decade. And of course it should go without saying. But those were bullshit made up figures given the immigration records this Tory goverment has broken. But if you love and prefer immigrants so much. Why would 4x have made the UK worse? Surely that's a positive for you.

The most even year temperature with the least variations in the world as well. That's a plus. Just a thought: wouldn't you feel akward being part of a minority though? Not at all music. As I've said, the people there welcome the Brits and they're amongst the most friendly people I've ever met. It does help to try to learn their language (I speak passable Portuguese) and they get on with you even more when they know you've made an effort to integrate with them. There are thousands of Brits that live in The Algarve and most Portuguese in that area can speak get-by English. Most Portuguese make a decent living catering for the Brits. Then they go back to their homes inland and that's where you'll get the best food, in the restaurants inland that they use for a meal out, away from the tourist crowds. That's where we usually eat, sitting with entire Portuguese families. Family meals out are a way of life with them there. That's enough for now. I feel a need for a fish cataplana and a lovely bottle of Portuguese red to accompany it. Cup of tea and a pickled egg. OS.

Well guys I must say as I sip on a "Piton" lager and finish my crab sandwich on a paradise like beach in St Lucia, I think the Caribbean remains the most stunning region on the planet to live in. Great people, great food, awesome music, hot women, good investment options, unreal beaches, Cricket, anti-woke sentiment across all the islands, anti lockdown sentiment and the ability to define a woman - what's not to like?

The British used to sail the oceans of earth just to find them and sell them on. They were called slaves back then. Forced to work long hours in undesirable jobs and all they got in return was a roof over their head and a plate of food. You could nearly compare it to today's society. Where you have the wealthy slave masters with more money than they could need. And then the slaves now have the freedom to select their own home to live in and get tokens in exchange for their work which they can then pass to their slave master, sorry landlord, for the roof over their head. Instead of getting the food on the table though they get to go to food banks and pickup the scraps that the slave masters donate to them. The slaves though these days prefer to blame the foreign slaves or the slaves which were dresses for their problems. Never the slave master though. Rupert Murdoch is hardly going to use his platform to turn the people against himself. So why not use it to keep the low iq slaves fighting amongst one another instead and keep the status quo. The slave masters love it. They sit together with their fine right honourable gentlemen in their private members clubs having a right good jolly laugh about it. And maybe a cheeky pinch on the bottom too if you're lucky.

Use your extensive vocabulary to explain. Same as the other day when you asked me what soy boy and woke meant and my reply was "you know" I knew you knew , you were just pretending to be thick so I humoured you . You are doing the same again. It's disingenuous but anyone with half a brain that reads my comment and sees what you wrote will know exactly why I said what I said . You know as well , I know you do 😉

Then I suppose it depends to a large degree what transferable skills you have, some places are more welcoming than others. I work in IT Infrastructure so I feel I'd likely be able to get a job in most countries. Also have a third level education. With my tongue slightly in my cheek given your work experience and qualifications and your personal ambition to meet a partner you have two very viable options 1. Live in a Country which is attractive to you socially and environmentaly and use RIM(ing) to work remotely, or 2.if you prefer to work at your office location, consider Latvia, very advanced in IT, Beautiful 😍 Women and you can get by in English, but as an intelligent person learning Latvian won't be beyond you.
