I think this will be turned around but quite a few of the players that started today won’t be involved massively. There were so many shite performances, overall it’s fitness and application, get them running up hills, bleep tests the lot until they can last 90 minutes. It’s appalling what’s happened!

Second half was the worst 45 of the season.
Shambolic
Hopefully Clucas gets a retrospective ban
Flint is a barmy, barmy signing.
How bad must Jagielka look in training this season? Not surprising if he has, but has he just gone?
You can't play a back 3 with no wing-backs, no Champ-standard LCB.
And you can't get to 10.59 on deadline day with no Champ-standard GK on the books.

It’s like we haven’t played together before. We aren’t fit We can’t control the ball We can’t cross We can’t defend It’s F’ing depressing losing to that shower. This plus slow, painfully, painfully slow.

That is a very good question. I mentioned the different evaluations of our players last year. Are they a top 6 squad and Clucas one of our best players as bayern has said . Or are they all shit players or just unfit. Which is it?

MON would have got pelters for setting up that team in that formation and producing the performance we got.

He wasn’t out managed by paul ince today he was out managed by himself game lost at 2.00 pathetic managerial performance from 2.00 until the final whistle no other word for it players look even more lost , less organised even more out of position and squad is a mess regardless , Holden did a better job at Blackburn sure , he needs to go right back to basics and PNE , he’s a journey,sm appointment and those are the skills he needs to deploy not klopp and pep tactical flair , both his games have been performance horror shows and out running out musclingLuton simply ain’t going to happen
the only sensible thing a Stoke manage gas done this season. Is holdens selection at Blackburn
a very very. disappointing start and a defined shape , game plan Organisation and selection on merit look even further away .lots of work to do

Very few positives from that. At least Powell is back.
Clucas and Smallbone were dreadful. The latter’s drop off in form is pretty concerning. He really didn’t seem up for tracking back and getting on the ball to help Baker out. Difficult to see him having much of a role in this system if he can’t graft. Clucas shouldn’t even be at the club, let alone starting games.
Campbell and Delap need to move more. So easy to play against when neither were willing to drop off or move wide. Both are young quick lads and should be running rings around Championship journeymen like Hutchison. Contrast that with the way Lucas Joao gave our defenders a torrid time.
No words for Flint. That was a shocking performance and difficult to see him having much future for us if that is his level of performance in the formation that supposedly suits him. Surely Souttar can’t be far off now if he’s training.

Really good first half, good attacking intent but frustratingly poor end product.
Second half a complete car crash, bizarre subs from the manager and ending up with Ben Wilmot at right wing back was borderline criminal.
Second half not good enough at all.

On the plus side at least we’ve shown we can be consistent. We were shit all game not just for half of it. BM Not quite, we were the better team in the first half We were shit first half too, and I’m not sure we were better than them, despite having a lot of possession they had the best chances. They were mainly shit and we were mainly shit. BM

Get on the phone to Ben Foster. We can't just give goals away like that. Fuck Flint off - slower than Jagielka. Looks scary but is actually weak as piss. Fuck Fox off - had a good game at Blackburn and has been dross since. Get the fuckers fit. Tell the clueless wankers to forget what MON told them - slow and steady achieves NOTHING in this league. They are so slow to think it's beyond belief. Fuck Flintoff....no thanks . Good cricketer though

MON would have got pelters for setting up that team in that formation and producing the performance we got. I can only hope and pray that AN is trying formations out to see what does work. It's got to be better than sticking with one system only. Having said that, the second half was absolutely woeful.

Clucas is an absolute arse and waste of a jersey. And yet still not the worst midfielder today. Thought he was ok first half but woeful 2nd. Smallbone was terrible and it was a toss up between the pair as to who was the worst. Feel sorry for Baker as he’d thrive with better players around him. It’s a mess and won’t get better till after the world cup when hopefully Soutters back and some of the others are up to match fit. This is on MON for me. His training, pre season and prep has set us back massively. I hope Kilkennys back soon. Him Baker and Laurent will improve us massively.

Tom Ince you tosser. Most effort I’ve ever seen him give. No different to when he was at Stoke. If what you've said at least twice now is true, why was he not success with us and why was he let go at the end of his contract? We're crying out for a player with his intelligence and workrate, neither of which he showed with us, hence why we were happy to get rid.

Watching SCFC is a truly life sapping experience. I've not enjoyed football at a local level for about 5 years now, bar the odd flurry. That's why I'm watching so many more Premier League games to remind me what actual football looks like. These players are fucking awful.

It was a poor performance but ultimately we were undone by the disastrous first goal (Bonham horror show and Flint's pitiful clearance) then Wilmot's silly penalty giveaway.
The previous manager had a long time (longer than he should've had) and left us with this culture of brittleness. People expecting a huge Cooper style upturn were always going to be disappointed. It's going to take hard hours on the training pitch and a few xfer windows at least before the new manager can really make inroads into remoulding the squad and the culture into something that doesn't embarrass us with such infuriating regularity.
