Mon has the tools now and now it's the time he delivers. Okay, this squad isn't perfect and there are still question concerning the defence but it should be top 6 material if utilised the right way.
This should be now "make it or break it" time for MON and if we still won't be above the mid table til end of this calendar year he should go. Personally I hope he'd make it, but if he doesn't deliver with this lot I wouldn't be too sad to see him go.

I totally agree, one more defensive addition and with Souttar & Powell to return, top 6 should be a minimum..

Signing Delap is just one more ultimatum of 'if'...'he has to go', the 67th of this nature. I thought you'd have learned fom the previous 66 cases that it doesn't work out like that at Stoke... Signing a potentially hot striker doesn't change our habits of giving away goals, struggling to build from the back, etc etc etc.

Great starting XI with the exception of GK and LCB (Wilmot tbf has done alright so far).
The GK department worries me the most though and I'd say we're probably bottom 3 in the league for that.
Let's hope Bursik picks it up though and Saturday was just an off day.

if he can’t attack with the attacking players he’s got/will have now then that’s it, no excuse

A goalkeeper is required before any grand ideas are made.

Add the existing players like Powell, Baker, Brown and Tymon, and that should deffo be top 6 material or at least challenge for it.

Isn’t one of the necessary Tools in the “Toolkit” having the knowledge and passion to turn a bunch of individually decent footballers into a “Winning” squad? If so, then the jury is still 100% out as to whether he has the tools!

You can put in a challenge from just about anywhere except exactly where we are now, for the top 6 all season. But any ultimatum that we must etc is misguided. Give the team a chance to find its style and identity, if we accomplish that, then we can start conidering better days.

He has. I have argued for patience as he had a huge job to reshape the squad and finances with no spare cash. He has no excuses now, quality front men and back up, 5 midfielders he has singed plus Powell, decent wing backs and enough quality at CB when Souttar is back. If I was him, I would want a new GK, but either at it’s up to him now

The only tools he needs is a spade. He’s intentionally choosing the wrong systems and the wrong players; it’s like he wants to get sacked.

Utterly clueless and completely out of his depth, forever hiding behind excuses.
