Taylor was best of a bad bunch and was very poor for their first goal.
Absolutely no positives from today

Taylor was best of a bad bunch and was very poor for their first goal. Absolutely no positives from today I am afraid I agree. I went with a Millwall season ticket holder. His view was that we played as if it were a friendly. I cannot disagree. I thought it was embarrassing.

He was fucking awful and will not even make a passable WB or attacking FB. How anyone could look at him and think he might is fucking laughable. Stinks of TP just finding an excuse to squeeze another CB into the team. Yeah I think that’s a bit strong but he didn’t look fantastic, let’s be honest. To be fair we move the ball around so slowly I feel a bit sorry for the WB’s. They often have nowhere to go / difficult options. We’re making Tymon look very average and for me he’s a quality championship player now I'm clutching at straws but the only explanation for today I can come up with is that he was making a point of just how desperately we need a lead the line striker but that doesn't explain the defending they could easily of had 5.

The Stoke City players took a stand against all forms of discimination (or whatever taking the knee is supposed to mean these days)?

I liked that he had faith in Taylor. I liked that Laurent got in a lot of tackles to regain possession in their half. I liked that I could see how Baker and Laurent could build a solid relationship. I liked that Gayle looked up for the game even though he didn’t do much. I liked that I got to watch it with a friend so the loss didn’t bother me that match.
Those would be my positives.

Positive from today, I spent the afternoon building my garden room/office, and although I have WiFi in there I decided on putting the roof joists on with music playing, so I didn't stream the match. Sunshine ☀ all afternoon.

Smallbone did more in 5 mins that Clucas did all game. He looks like a decent player Christ, Clucas was infuriating.

Yep sloppy and dreadful can’t get over the 5/6’s he’s getting on the rate the players thread. He couldn’t get a game last season but starts instead of Smallbone today. It’s baloobaas mental stuff

When i saw Clucas’s name on the starting lineup I knew it would be a long day. He offers nothing whatsoever. I’m not sure what MON thinks he’s going to offer.

Taylor was another league to the other two central defenders! We've got another gem on our hands! Laurent also showed a lot of promising stuff, our best midfielder by a country mile! Bursik played well too! Brown showed some hunger after coming on! Apart from these 4 a really bad outing! Next game! ........................Bursik............................... Clarke...........Taylor........Jags.............Tymon........ ..................laurent.....Baker........................... Campbell..............Smallbone.................Brown........ ........................Gayle.................................. Stop playing this predictable 3 at the back FFS!!!!!!!!!

We were beaten by two goals which partly came about through their tactic of placing a player in front of Bursik purely to block his view of what was happening (not sure why it was allowed as he must have been offside from the initial headers). He and the defenders had no answer to how to counter this which presumably will be talked about. These sort of tactics tend only to work in the first few matches when teams are unprepared for them. Not excusing our defending or lack of impetus but a draw at Millwall one of the playoff favourites would have been a good result.

What about bursik, smallbone and Campbell? Given my expectations they were some bright points IMO. The system's shit so the match was shit though.

The very definition of mid table are Millwall.
