I think it's more pressure - you're the leader of the group who should be leading by example, keep any wankers in order in the dressing room, dealing with the media, traipsing round to pensioners to give shirts out, etc. Let Souttar concentrate on his game. That should be done by the group imo. I don't see why it should be any more pressure. You just don't want someone who isn't a leader. It's why Allen was always such a poor choice. Souttar and Baker are both ideal for it. If it's meaningless why was Allen a poor choice?

He wasn't one of the 4/5 leaders you should have on the pitch.

Who's the best in the squad at guessing a coin toss? None of them - they're all useless tossers

I am one of Allen’s biggest critics, although you and I have absolutely fucking zero idea who is and who isn’t a leader in that dressing room, or how a professional football dressing room is run.

I didn't say in the dressing room hence why I haven't commented on that. "On the pitch" is very much what I said and what I care about and he showed no leadership qualities on there.

What exactly are your criteria for that then? Being in the refs ear when decisions are made. Constant communication with the ref. Playing well. I don't think he did any 3. Shawcross was a fantastic leader as he was always there when the ref was making a decision and trying to influence him.
