Makes sense to see the extent of any injury before announcing anything as well if has happened, rather that let people speculate...maybe too late for that though Exactly it is. Nobody needs to know the ins and outs but a line in a match report gives them control over this. An article about who's going before showing a video with Powell missing gives them control over it. Specifics aren't needed. Does a couple of tweets and someone being in relentless pursuit of negativity on a message board count as losing control?

What a disaster of a signing Nick Powell's been. I'm at the point where I can't work out if people are trolling or actually believe this.

Wouldn't mind a loan move for Troy Parrott if available. Starting at last to look a decent player after not really impressing too much after a lot expected of him. Can play that role

What a disaster of a signing Nick Powell's been. I'm at the point where I can't work out if people are trolling or actually believe this. Great player, but if he's out for another season its been a disaster for everyone. 86 league games played out of potentially 184. (Not sure how many games he's started) He's not really fitted in any managers system but because of his talent its impossible to leave him out, and rightly so. High earner excluding the legacy prem players. The importance put of him means everytime he gets injured our season goes to pot. Let's be honest, as he been a thorn in our side!

Standard Stoke fortune if it is long term. Loan out the viable alternative as they want more games just after extending a heavy contract for our better player, who then proceeds to explode upon first kicking a ball 😂.
If it is long term, at least we have the rest of preseason to figure something out. Whether we have the finances or not is another matter.

What, by being extremely good when he plays and injured sometimes, which is beyond his control? Giannelli Imbula was a disastrous signing. A free transfer who becomes your talisman and most potent creative threat, but isn’t available as much as you’d like, really isn’t.

Hes hardly the kind of player you want in the trenches.
At least if it's confirmed now, we can get somebody in and crack on, instead of it happening midway through the season.
He has all the talent in the world, but there's a reason he plays for Stoke.

He's always injured, barely get half a season out of him.

Hes a brilliany shithouse of a player who knows how to win free kicks and wind up the oppositon. There's a difference between that, and somebody who works hard for the team though.

How many times have we had a fully fit and firing Nick Powell? We need treat Powell as a bonus/luxury player. You can never plan a team or season around a nick powell.

In fact when he broke his leg last season that was after doing just that!
