Further to his earlier link, Nixon now seems to think he's signing.

Think this will be a really underrated signing. Big hard sod, great at set pieces.
Just need Rinomhota or equivalent in midfield and a big hard git up front and we're finally starting to see some genuine battle hardened balance for this league.

A site where you pay for content. I suppose it's like a modern clubcall or whatever it was on teletext. But it's for more than football. Basically a way to make money from social media.

I'm really not happy about this one, I've got a Bristol City & a Boro fans telling me how shit he is and he played for them in his "prime".
He's the complete opposite of what we need when looking at centre halves, he's slow and can't pass for shit. He's big and decent in the air but apparently is a complete fanny with a mistake in him constantly.

Confusing one on the surface.
33 next month, and sounds like Danny Batth on lower wages.
Will be behind Souttar and Jagielka as the middle player in a potential back three, and can't obviously play anywhere else in a three.
And universally described as slow and not good on the ball, so not suited to our supposed desire for a relatively high line and possession football, so even in a back 4, there are a few question marks.

We may as well have just kept Chester

I genuinely don't get it or see a single positive with this signing and it raises question marks around the recruitment plan. It's all well and good saying "great at set pieces" but it's an irrelevance if we can't deliver a decent ball. You've only got to look at the difference when Souttar plays for us and plays for Oz. And ideally, I'd want my defenders to be able to defend first and foremost.

Does this mean we’re looking at a back four next season do we think? I'd say it's leaning that way. But we'll probably know more when we see the RB that we settle on. I think he ideally wants to play Campbell on the right. But don't know where that would leave Brown because I can't really see him playing down the middle on his own (especially with talk of a target man on the agenda)? Could he play on the left?

Have we given up signing players of a certain age now then, this just seems just another way to block a route to the first team for the younger lads.

To me it shows MON muddled thinking, Baath was let go, high wages apart, for his uncomfortability on the ball, now Flint who is probably worse..At times under him it feels like we are splashing around in the deep end😞

Does this mean we’re looking at a back four next season do we think? Odds on we are aiming for a 433. Forget seeing Powell at his best for the majority of next season 🤦♂️

I totally understand the concern around Flint, but I'm just liking the thought of Flint and Sout's in the tunnel together towering over the opposing team.

Strange one given his age and the commentary on his attributes. Maybe he will be cover and wages make him attractive as that.
As above let’s see what he’s like before passing judgement but not very inspiring on the face of it?

Forget seeing Powell at his best for the majority of next season 🤦♂️ we don't see Powell at is best for most of any seasons he's always crocked 2019-2020 Total Appearances 30 - featured heavily from December onwards after being largely ignored by Nathan Jones despite being fit. 2020-2021 Total Appearances 42 - barely missed a game. 2021-2020 Total Appearances 20 - Suffered a leg break whilst on a run of 6 goals in his first 10 games, was rushed back and suffered subsequent injuries. He's hardly always crocked is he, he had a leg break last season which you just can't account for and could happen to anyone. The receny bias among Stoke fans at times is nothing short of laugable
