How can Stoke City FC achieve more success in the season 2022/23, than the previous one?
Position 14th in the Final table.

How can Stoke City FC achieve more success in the season 2022/23, than the previous one? Position 14th in the Final table. 🤨 🤔 🙄 Create more chances and score more goals. Defensively (especially with souttar) we’re ok. Creating chances though we’re near bottom of the league. This has to change. It’s a bit like under TP. If our defence becomes poor, through injuries or otherwise, we’ll drop like a stone like we did this year. Goals get you out of a lot of problems and we haven’t made a lot of chances other than in 2014/2015 side

Try not to throw 30 points away from winning positions?

Find somebody who is actually competent, experienced and capable enough of managing a Championship level club rather than some no hoper who managed a couple of pub-level teams and a 3rd rate national team
Will be very interesting to see what happens if we have a poor start to the season and Vale hit the ground running - will hopefully (and finally) start to focus the minds of the owners but am sure it probably won't

Stay injury free and try to play more attractive football with lots of goal scoring opportunities. Last season if we hadn't been throwing away winning positions we might have been in the play off. But I don't think that most of the football we played was acceptable.

Seen so many people banging on about the squad, firstly we lost our best 2 players in Souttar & Powell, late Oct. time, only probably Fulham would be able to cope with that, Bournemouth at a push. Plus other injuries along the way, not saying he's the right or wrong man for the job.But he's had it rough, all the injuries, & getting rid of players, of the last 3 Imbeciles we've had. So give him while, if it asnt improved, time to go. And Whisky & Guinness with you.

Any other club would of sacked this dinosaur a long time ago!!!!

Solid experienced championship GK would make a huge difference. In truth we’ve not had that since relegation as far as I can remember? Only Butland’s first season after relegation where I’m convinced he prevented us from relegation flirtation. But the fact your post didn’t get lots of likes suggests people are overlooking that area. Bursik should be out on loan to the lower leagues.

MON is a solid reliable and safe manager who seems to set out not to lose.
Exactly what we don't need if we want promotion or exciting attacking football.
If he stays then 14th is around our level.

Better organised defence. We gave away too many points from being in the lead scoring first. I don't think a lot of those points dropped were down to the GK. For me it is the lack of a good DMF sitting in front o f the back line.
Other aspects to improve: A genuine striker, who scores regularly, not a has been like Vokes/Fletcher. Someone who can actually take on a defender and beat them.
Promoted sides don't just have them they have two or three of them.
