Hated them back in the early 90s (Gannon etc) but fairly indifferent towards them now. Actually rooted for them in the Fa cup game against Bolton

Never forgave Gannon for the abuse he gave Stein. It would have been comical, the way Stein almost had to jump up to hit Gannon, if it didnt make my piss boil just thinking about it. Find it hard to shake off that image of Stockport The fact that Gannon ended up at Vale and resigned by leaving the coach at Sandbach Services after pushing someone on the back seat (or something) was just perfect synergy

Not sure what relevance the unwashed have. Stockport were down to about 4000 before they went down. Glory hunting cunts

Was listening to Radio 5 Live last night.
They did a small feature on Stockport and stated that twenty years ago County did the double over Manchester City. How the fortunes of both clubs have changed in the last two decades.

I remember the commercial guy telling me that Horsfield said if someone didn't get off the bus he was going to put them in hospital after an away trip ...let's be honest he would have done as well. Edit just looked they weren't there at the same time. Was one of the coaching staff for sure who then had Horsefield transferred away the next day or so. Gannon would have had a lengthy ban now, instead he took Stein to court

A long time in the wilderness that's for sure, even dropping down to tier 6. Dave Challinor seems to a modern day midas when it comes to management.
