Since we got relegated? Big money signings like Afobe, Vokes, Woods to name just a few. I don't think a euro millions roll over would cover it. It's scary. Gouranga.

Yeah but the money was there then and spending big on class players such as Arnie and Shaq to compliment the likes of Bojan and NZonzi was not such an issue, however spunking mega money on the likes of Afobe, Vokes, Woods etc is criminal. Gouranga.

Afobe £12m, return £0 Ince £12m, return £0 N'Diaye £14m, return £0 Etebo £6m, return £0 McClean £5m, return £0 Woods £6m, return £0 Batth £4m, return £0 Vokes £8m, return £0 Bauer £5m, return £0 Wimmer £17m, return £0 Imbula £22m, return £0 Berahino £12m, return £0 Smith £4m, return £0 Total £156m, return £0
Clearly we have made some from Arnie and Collins and some of teh current squad such as Brown, Souttar and Tymon are worth more than what we paid in my opinion
Also Albert we have done this to death now, but still makes my piss boil

Loan fees and transfer fees were received for some, although paying wages for so many players not playing is probably what made it worse.

Is Afobe definitely gone then? Seems likely but with him knocking in a few for Millwall I thought maybe he was worth another crack. Had a rough time in his personal life when here

Can't even begin to imagine!
Transfer fees PLUS wages. The figure must be astronomical.

It’s certainly cost the Coates’ hundreds of millions. Add those trading losses to the covid losses then add in collapse of asset value and you’ll be somewhere close. No sympathy whatsoever their terrible decisions are responsible for their losses. Us fans have lost top flight football and any semblance of entertainment for our £3/400 a year. It’s not good but I’m not going to be losing any sleep over it. Maybe they won’t be either.

It's the transfer equivalent of a double dose of Moviprep (if you know, you know).

It's about £250 million I guess or roughly 25 seasons of Championship media revenue or match day revenue, take your pick, at the present rate. Little wonder we were up to our eye balls in debt until John Coates announced that financial 'realignment' last month which I don't pretend to fully understand either in its method or indeed its longer term implications

I think all clubs have a decent sized list of poor transfers.
I think Spurs & Liverpool do it right (especially Spurs when Stoke come knocking!). The list of which teams get this right is probably tiny... i think.

How much was spent on paying players off, to get them out of the club?

How much was spent on paying players off, to get them out of the club? Your missing the point that outgoing chief executive said he was leaving us in a great position . 😉
