Just reading the last gig thread and thought it’d be good for people to mention upcoming gigs up to the end of the year. I’m not one of those who follows bands around and like to try different stuff but can be difficult to get the info, especially locally as there are zero reliable gig guides around Stoke. All genres accepted apart from folk and country(personally).

ents24.com seems to be the best for listings with most local venues covered. Psyence are a good local band at The Underground on the 25th Feb: www.ents24.com/stoke-on-trent-events/the-underground - they have some interesting stuff, with comparisons ranging from Foo Fighters to Pink Floyd. I still haven't seen them live and will miss this one too. If you like 80s metal, then Massive Wagons are coming up at The Sugarmill on 26th March and Unto Others on the 29th. The latter are the most interesting I think and sound a bit gothic at times (oh, and I quite like the support band, Zetra, too). 21st April: The Wytches at Eleven in Stoke. They're different - sort of a mix of garage rock and psychedelic rock I guess. I hope I can get to this one after the original gig was postponed from last month. Four of my favourite bands - Nothing, Sea Power, Teenage Fanclub and Feeder - are touring in April with dates generally in the usual Manc, Brum, Liverpool, Leeds etc.

Music Mania in Hanley are great for tickets (and listings) for local gigs instead of the cruddy Seetickets etc: musicmaniauk.com/Although they don't have Wytches tickets because that's organised with the National Lottery to support music venues after the pandemic. Brill thanks I’ll take a look👍🏻 I edited my post after you quoted - in case of any confusion and you really really wanted to see Zetra, well they're supporting Unto Others and not Wytches. Yard Act are playing the Sugarmill, in September tickets still available. Cheers - I bought tickets after seeing your post. They seem cheap for Yard Act (not sure if the gig from January was postponed and this is it), and I'm surprised it isn't sold out.

Just a couple lined up, OMD in March (the Mrs loves em) and The The later in the year. Might pop down to see Echo and the Bunnymen in Birmingham next month. And of course I'll se the Black Apples a few times in the coming year, always a good gig and one of the best local bands to see live. Gouranga.
