He played against PSG on Wednesday I didn't watch it so wouldn't know. Seems strange he's not in the squad then...... He can't kick it long and flat to no-one so is not considered good enough for England unfortunately. Sam Johnstone, for what it's worth, is playing very well for Palace. |

The problem with Nick Pope is that he's made costly mistakes when he's played for England.
Obviously, he's a great Premier League keeper but it just simply might be the case that he's just not suited to playing for his country.
Chelsea are still struggling for goals even though they won on Monday night, so, it still makes sense for Sterling not to be included.

Hardly anyone gets a chance of an extended run in goal for England though, he'll play Pickford even against teams we will be having 75% of possession against. |
