Bursik - 5 - nowt to do and still passed it to a Swansea player
Wilmot - 8 - didn’t have to defend and got forward well Jagielka - 9 - I think I love him THB - 8 - solid again and wellied the ball at times when a few games ago he would have put someone under pressure. Good to see. Tymon - 8 - same as Wilmot
Allen - 8 - won the ball, passed it short. It’s alls I want to see Baker 9 - MOM - class Powell 9 - floated around doing Nick Powell things. A joy to watch
Campbell 7 - started to get into it and did some nice things but injury cut him short to score more Brown 8 - great work and a lovely finish. Much better on the right than up front. JPB - 9 - a massive pain in the arse. No idea how he did half of the things he did
Maja - 7 - put a decent shift in and did some nice things but a few times he didn’t make a run when he should have done
Clucas and DWP - played nicely but not on long enough to really score
Tremendous game.

There’s no doubt the signing of Baker in particular has been an unusual master stroke. He’s been superb, Jagielka also. Bellis looking more assured in a back four. Bidace a real handful and Allen seems to be thriving on having some ability alongside him. If we’d had this side from the get go I believe we would be far higher up the league.

Didn't think Powell was worth a nine, some of his passing wasn't up to his normal standard.

Bursik - 6 - Easiest game he'll have in a Stoke shirt, but that pass could have killed us against a better side.
Wilmot - 8 - Probably the best I've seen him at RB - but still, for me, not his best position. Jagielka - 8.5 - He's superb, end of story. Ability is unquestionable, reading of the game immense - you can really see his pedigree. THB - 8 - Seems to be growing game by game, I liked what I saw tonight. Tymon - 8 - I like Tymon. Not the best defender the world has ever seen but definitely an asset going forward. Volley could have been goal of the season.
Allen - 8 - Kept it simple, didn't make any mistakes. Seems to compliment Baker. Better. Baker - 9 - Rolls Royce Powell - 6.5/7 - Might just be me (tin hat on) but thought he was a little anonymous tonight?? Passing a bit wayward. Don't think we'd have missed him.
Campbell - 6.5 - Some nice work, still looks a bit slow to me and has been guilty a couple of times of not passing when people are in better positions. Brown - 8 - Really pleased for him. Infinitely better from the right, gives defenders a headache and makes up for not being the most technically proficient at times. JPB - 9 - Seems to be getting better - really liked what I saw from him.
Maja - 6 - a little bit anonymous for me. Did well in a couple of flashes but there was a few times where we've worked the ball into the box, put it across goal and there's no one there - which is exactly where he should be.

Bursik 7 Wilmot 8 Jags 7 PHB 7 Tymon 8 Allen 7 Baker 8 Powell 5 Brown 8 Campbell 6 Bidace 9 DWP 6 Clucas 6 Maja 6 Okay I'll bite. How do you justify Bursik a 7 and Powell a 5? Not disagreeing with numbers but how is there a 20% difference in performance?

I agree that Powell floated around but he created little, missed a good heading chance and probably the best thing he did was get off the pitch uninjured. I just hope that he was saving himself for the Forest game.

Re Allen Now he's older suspect he's twigged that he can't rat about the pitch anymore very often and needs to be that steady guy who keeps it simple He's done that lately and also shown a bit of leadership at Huddersfield where the tempo was all wrong until he came on

Didn't think Powell was worth a nine, some of his passing wasn't up to his normal standard. Hasn't he always been a bit wasteful because he takes on risky or tricky passes? Constantly trying to slot it or bend a beaut with the outside of the boot. Higher risk and reward than most of our lads and absolutely crucial to creating extra chances.

Allen was there but not doing anything, Jagielka was acting like the leader. But again being harsh probably but I thought it was noticeable.

Is that a piss take woosh post because from where I was sitting Powell ran the fucking show, yes some balls didn't come off but because he plays balls to open the game up. He was gliding round the pitch for most of the game and had Swansea in his pocket, we have missed him so much it can't be put into words, with him we would be top six now he is that important.

Difficult to think of a player who didn't play well. Bursik made the only mistake of the night but otherwise was competent. MOM definitely Baker, so classy and definitely a Premier League standard player. How did we manage to get him?

MOM definitely Baker, so classy and definitely a Premier League standard player. How did we manage to get him? He was probably in shock? We had a bloody free kick on the half way line, and it should have been a forward ball! 2 passes later it’s at Joe’s feet. He didn’t cover himself in glory but that bit of play was a shit show! Needs to stop. All in all a good nights work for everyone. Highly entertaining play too.
