As mentioned in another thread, I think a real improvement would be to move where the players come out. That dead area with the score board, being the prime location. Away players would get a hostile welcome, meanwhile the red and white heroes would probably get dog's abuse by "loyal supporters" (well hopefully not). Didn't see too much mention of improving the Boothen concourse, which always seems just mildly better than Millwall's.
Still can't grumble, improvements are nice to hear.

Wonder if that means the posters advertising Jake Bugg's new single (released Nov 2019) will be removed from Boothen toilets.

Anyone in the Boothen End who pops down to the concourse at half time to buy a drink or use the loo would have to be some sort of idiot not to realise that the concourse could do with enlarging by up to 50% . Anyone who wants to use the loo AND the refreshment kiosk is going to be disappointed or miss the first few minutes of the second half.

Couldn't they just put a trough up against the counter where you order? Maximise the efficiency of the slashing slash ordering process. Could also just pour the excuse they have for tea straight into the trough and cut out the middle man.

so we have an emergency exit that been used once for someone from crewe breaking their leg, and for stanley matthews and gordon banks funeral procession.
3 times in 25 years, and only 1 for footballing reasons.
I stand by my 'shit design' comment.

totally. It's unnecessary and it should have gone in the corner by the away fans. But as always with Stoke, no one thinks too much on this sort of stuff Why should it go in the other corner as opposed to where it is and why is it unnecessary ? Because you could have a corner that houses the changing rooms, the media bit, the screen, expand the club shop (which is toss, and so is everything in it), maybe even have some more special seats in this particular corner, and you'd still be able to build over that emergency exit. It would keep all the 'untidy' bits together and out of sight. in the meantime, you make the ground look better by building a new corner inbetween the main stand and boothen, tying it together nicely. it's really not hard, but we have fucked it up, like we do most things off the pitch in terms of merch, design and for fan benefit

If you don't know what a shewee is Google it or look it up on Amazon.

Sounds like building work for the sake of it fto me The shop is cramped, the displays are awful, and the merch in there is so below par. No imagination, nothing that you'd actually like to spend hard earned coin on, just a load of cheap tat that looks dated before you even get home. With our unique heritage from around the city, and being a founder member of the football league, our history, we have so much inspiration to choose from, yet it's wank mugs, shit polo shirts and plastic shite you'd find in a jumble sale. Piss poor from the club. They could employ someone on 30k a year to come up with new designs, and you'd bring in hundreds of thousands of pounds more. Short sighted again from us. I have suggested they go into the same corner, so you can redevelop the corner between the boothen and main, and therefore make more money through ticket sales and food/drink, it'd be a better looking ground, more aspirational to new players and fans alike. If you aren't paying for it yourself, or building it (but you'd be getting paid), i don't see the problem. At the moment its an ugly box surrounded by detritus that makes us no cash. Why would it not be an improvement?

Why would it not be an improvement? I can only agree. But to me the stadium has looked like a hollow and lifeless structure since it was built with zero culture, imagination or investment but for the John Smith perhaps. I remember being there for my 8th birthday or something and I bet it's pretty much the same. The Victoria was more inspiring inside (for me). Looking at the new ice hockey stadium in Tampere, asking with various other stadiums ideas and innovative, fan driven ideas and community based projects, I'm pretty much embarrassed by the matchday experience of doing to stoke (unless you like sitting in traffic or walking down Stan's way).

It'd be one of the first things i'd be promoting, along with items, or clothing that people would be happy spending money on. everything i have suggested would make it better, and more likely to make more money than in its current state.

Why yes thank you, what a delightful gift ...... store.stokecityfc.com/street-sign-gnomeImagine having all the photographic archives, including the likes of Banks, Matthews, Stein etc... you could have these iconic images on t-shirts etc... you could do sooooooo much. But we have wank fucking gnomes, AND, lets not forget, a stoke city branded measuring tape (thanks Stoke). It's laughable. There are people out there who know how to turn things around, create tasteful items that will make money. If you can't see it yourself, it's fine, but some of us can, and it's frustrating to see our club doing zero. whoever is in charge of the club shop and all that goes with it needs to go, i'm sorry but they're out of touch and we need to move on.

Why not not have a tasteful range of pottery (we are after all The Potters), etc.... What do you want me to do? spell it all out in one night on the oatcake? The point is what we have now is shite. Cheap, tasteless crap that is good for no one, is a seen as a joke, and making us a laughing stock.

The club has a official partnership with the local university, Why don’t we invite their students to submit designs for the stadium update, they presumably run technical design studies ? Again as someone else pointed out we have a abundance of talented artists and designers who are world renowned right on our doorstep, why don’t we use them to breathe life into the bland cheap looking but expensive merchandise. By utilising the engineering, design, artistic and brainpower of the local community we could revitalise the ground into a individual stadium that reflects or heritage.
p.s, move Sir Stans monument to a more prestigious location (Nr Main Ent Lobby)

Do other clubs sell amazing things in their shops?
What we need to do most of all is a total revamp of our online presence and social media team we are way behind even smaller clubs. We need to capitalise on all aspects of social media.

And let's not forget, if ever the stadium had to be evacuated in a hurry (for fire or a bomb threat for example) that emergency exit would enable people in the front rows near that corner to evacuate quickly - including the disabled in wheelchairs at the front of block 19. When Ramsey broke his leg he was evacuated by that exit.

And keep it near the tunnel. I don't recall many other premier league grounds, with far bigger crowds having 2 when i went on my travels to them. We have a shit ground. It was awful when the plans were announced, it was shit on the opening day, and it's shit now 25 years later. Everything done on the cheap and it shows.

One reason for having two (or even more) exits, especially in grounds which are totally enclosed bowls - which ours possibly will be one day - is that when opened (not during games) they allow more air circulation which benefits the pitch. Just as most clubs in the top two divisions have portable lights to help the grass growth, air circulation should be encouraged for the same reason.
