The MON song is total cringe. It’s absolutely horrendous 🙁 Its not just me that thinks it then! But in all honesty wether it be because of the shower of shit on offer last night, our repertoire if you can call it that was poor Also can someone confirm something to me with regards the set up of the Bar in the away end, with stoke shirt clad staff & other paraphernalia about. Is that just a Coventry thing for away fans?

It's almost as if lifeless, moribund farting around somehow doesn't inspire loud, engaged support. Last night was as bad as anything I can remember for a long time away from home. We've been battered by bigger scorelines countless times over recent years but the lack of any form of footballing competence, skill, effort or understanding was beyond words and right up there towards the top of the list for shitness in Stoke City's recent history. A sickening performance. He's got to go, this isn't getting better.

Like the Muniesa song before it, it has a good rhythm with highs and lows and a small clapping element. I’d rather we sang the MoN song than sat in silence.

Someone suggested on the D'Margio song thread to sing the one we did for Berahino. This can be kept going for a while(like we did when sang for Berahino) it is easy for everyone to remember as it is just "nah" and "D'Margio" at the end. This is something that could be sang over and over for a long period like we did with the Muniesa song and helped us get behind the team.

Completely agree with moving away fans,or moving where the players come out. That dead area by the scoreboard would be an ideal point to relocate the dressing rooms. Stoke would come out to their own fans and the away supporters would be a distant speck.

Not knocking the OP but these threads always make me laugh I too was there last night and never once did I see any Stoke fan trying to get the away end going so why didn’t the OP try? Or is it somebody else’s job? There was a pissed up youth close to me giving it a good go but he must have blown himself out by half time cos he disappeared for the 2nd half. There was lots of inane shite coming from a small group too.....nothing really got going, probably because "you can shove your fucking drum up your arse..." got a tad boring after the 564th rendition.

Having been to all away games this season, I thought Coventry fans last night were the best/worst I've seen. Best by being the loudest Worst by taunting us about our 'big day out' That drum was loud and we never even got any songs started. Compare that to the library at the Bet365. No wonder they are on a roll and we aren't. I've said it many times, we should stick the away fans away from the tunnel at the Bet365. Coming out to the noise of their own fans gives them an instant lift. Stick them in the Upper Tier somewhere they can't be heard. One of the first thing Alex Ferguson did at Utd was move the away fans from behind the scoreboard end to the corner they are now. I didn't go last night but I note your comment about the drum. It certainly seems to be something that we have previously frowned upon that seems to have helped previous quiet crowds make a bit of a din. Blackpool and seemingly Coventry last night being obvious examples. The Drum works a treat at Accy Stanley as well. They may get barely 2000 home supporters on a matchday but they don't half make a good atmosphere. My lad watches Accy, Stoke and Burnley and prefers going to Stanley of the 3.

I don't know why we are so against a drum, anything would be preferable to our muted mumblings at the moment.Im not massively into the generic songs that are appearing lately, but Blackpool generated such a great atmospheres as did Coventry(to a certain extent) last night. We were happy to join in the Sweet Caroline so why not mix it up a bit....we sing too fast and every song ends up garbled, at least with a drum we'd keep in fucking time.

I can't remember what season it was but sometime in the late 90's/early 2000's a drum did make an appearance in the Boothen End at the Brit. The highlight of the game was supporters physically moving the protagonist from the stadium.

If anyone sits next to me with a Vuvuzela or drum they will be working overtime at the North Staffs infirmary to surgically retrieve said instrument. Let all the people who like to sing encourage those around them - if we can all clap at certain times why not sing at certain times e.g. 3pm Delilah, 3.10 oh when the reds, 3.15 who are the people and if it’s a great game we can go freestyle in the gaps. Does that sound nuts? Lol

I mentioned on another thread a couple of weeks ago that we need some new material. The only song which seems to get going nowadays is “oh when the reds”. Delilah seems to be dying of a slow death. As already mentioned further up Blackpool we’re brilliant with their “Ole Ole Ole” song. The funniest bit was when Blackpool finally stopped singing for a breather we started singing 'Is this a library?'

Stoke would come out to their own fans and the away supporters would be a distant speck. Or just move the changing rooms to the open corner? It might sound trivial but we need to make every possible advantage of being at home count.

Did coventry really sing to us about it being our cup final? They are the biggest set of weirdo supporters in the efl. I don't know what it is about them but they have absolutely no collective self-awareness. I'm pretty sure they look at themselves as a Leeds or Man City who've fallen on hard times. It's beyond puddled.

Shame we can't ask for the game to be replayed... second thoughts. they discriminate fans for not taking the poison.

It's very bizarre & has actually had quite abit of effort put in to it, especially regarding its Stoke content! Someone's clearly got to much time on their hands! Enjoy 😬🙈

In the 90's the Oatcake used to print new songs for every home game under the Macari era. Remember going up and going up and get away? Status Quo "here we goooooo, CITY ON TOP O' THE LEAGUE "!!! (I miss that) discos on the boothen end as well.happy days they were, brings back memories that song
