As much noise as we’ve heard about Trump and his new running mate, it’ll be interesting to see their approach should they get in. Ukraine have recently restructured some huge loans. This has included extending the repayment terms and using lower interest rates. Interestingly, these loans are underwritten by various countries, banks and corporations. This tells us that these parties are confident that Ukraine will be around in the longer term to pay off the debt. We also know that the at the end of all this, the rebuild contracts will be astronomical. I just can’t see Trump going against the interests of these banks and corporations given their influence. I also can’t see the US ego letting Russia get one over on them given what America has already invested. I may be totally wrong of course, but I think the influence of Ukraine’s financial backers may determine the US (and other’s) position. I think you're wrong. It's a mistake to think of trump like a normal president. He wants to be a dictator, he tried to do it already, he's made it clear that's the plan. Maybe if Ukraine can offer him and his family more money then he might change his mind. Or Congress could put him in a position where he'd leave Putin to swing so he can focus on his #1 priority of purging the government and military of pro-democracy people. It might help if they promised to rename NATO 'North Atlantic Trump Organisation'.

The news from the front is still bad. There's some units that could get surrounded in the east, and Russia is advancing in a new area called Toretsk. A lot of the issues come from republicans blockading aid for six months. They helped kill lots of Ukrainians, so there aren't enough defenders now. Recruits are being trained and the ammo situation is improving though. Russia has conquered something ~0.15% more of Ukraine in 9.5 months so the Land changes are not anything to panic about yet. I think it's all a question of how big casualties have been on each side. You keep blaming Republicans which I think is a biased worldview. If the Democrats when they controlled Congress and the Senate had armed Ukraine appropriately and allowed them to defend themselves properly they might have had a chance last summer to rout a Russian army in disarray. You also never mention the over 30 Democrats that sent a letter to Biden calling for a negotiated settlement to the war. Ukraine should have been armed to the hilt from the get go and allowed to attack Russia as long as the war continued without restrictions

It's being claimed that the well-known Russian blogger Grey Zone was among those killed in Mali.

Amazing to realize that the average Russian life expectancy is about 65 for males. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_in_RussiaThe population has been decreasing for years and has been desperately relying on immigration. If they don’t take all of Ukraine, I wonder how many “Russians” will be left.

Spectacular boom there.
The news from the front is bad. Russia has finally stretched Ukraine's defences to their limit. All the casualties russia took in Kharkiv might have worked as a distraction from the East.
We're still talking small gains. In 10 months so far Russia managed to conquer about 0.15% of Ukraine's land in exchange for losing around 20% of their fixable tanks.
One side could crack before Ukraine's reinforcements arrive but my bet is that russian advances will continue a bit longer around the current rates. Maybe they'll take another 0.15% of Ukraine or a bit more. Then they'll run out of steam.

Example of what Ukraine is facing now.
Wave after wave of meat but in lots of areas it's like Russia doesn't have enough armour. So Ukraine gets time to react and hurt the russians a lot with drones and artillery.

Appears to be a north Korean military vehicle in Ukraine, firing at Ukrainians. Story supported by an active Ukrainian combat engineer who, at least a couple of weeks ago, was fighting near Vovchansk, Kharkiv.
Big NK supplies of vehicles would be bad bad bad.
NK has sent millions of shells to russia, without which their attacks would be doing loads worse.

Russian helicopter down in Donetsk. Their cheapest and simplest one, but rumours are that it was hit by a drone.
Worth following - it could be the first ever kill of a manned aircraft by a drone. We're seeing the future :/

Russia launched a drone swarm attack last night, Ukraine claims they shot down 89 out of 89.
I didn't have time to check today if Ukraine's claims are believable but they regularly admit when stuff gets through.
Ukraine designed a special network with thousands of mobile phones on sticks. They record when the engine noise of drones hits them, and then they triangulate the drones and send machine gun crews to take them down. Really quite amazing stuff. Effective shootdowns without using expensive missiles.

Each red dot is a visibly lost piece of Russian equipment, blue is Ukrainian. Includes tanks, fighting vehicles, artillery etc.
Massive russian losses for small gains on this front too.
The Ukrainian 79th airborne have been smashing it there.

Seeing some really aged looking soldiers on both sides. Guess they may feel a duty (on both sides) that they’re closer to death anyway so what does it matter if they died fighting for their country and it meant a younger person didn’t.

If that's how a Ukrainian ended up there then I can't help but salute them. There are definitely stories of that happening.

More drone war advances. Ukraine's "vampire" drone that carries an extra big payload. Seen these and they’re devastating, Ukrainians are using the abundance of ruSSian land mines lying around and literally dropping them on top of anything ruSSian., some great footage on Telegram.

Russian soldiers walking through N Kharkiv, Ukraine. I believe those vehicles are all IDd as russian losses.
They're taking huge losses to drones just getting soldiers and supplies to the front.

The planes are on the left directly under the cloud that popped up. So we can't tell if any were damaged.
Tbh it looks like the ammo top right was hit and that's very far from the planes so my hope is down a bit. Maybe there are new grass burn marks nearer the jets? But I can't tell with the cloud shadows.
