Russian Wagner leader says they lost an Su-24 attack jet. Hopefully this is another new one! EDIT: sad news. He says it was damaged but got back to base. Do you mean an SU 24 which is an old 80`s/90`s jet or the newish SU 34 which is their latest fighter/bomber ? The old ass Su-24 unfortunately. Thinking back, in the videos the main forces have mostly used Su-25s. There were some Su-24 videos from the naval air forces but they got blown up on the ground in Crimea. The occasional Su-30-something gets wrecked too but it's frogfoots most of the time. I think Wagner only has old planes.

Don’t seem ready to withdraw just yet, be good if they held out for a bit longer that the one year anniversary I watch a couple of Ukrainians who talk each day (online names Kiyanyn and Madyar. They're soldiers near Bakhmut). Today Madyar and some other sources said Ukraine pushed back Russians to the southwest. The mil experts are saying that southwest front near Ivanivske is protecting the final supply road. If Ukraine holds Ivanivske, they can hold Bakhmut for weeks or months...

This is correct, they pushed the closest Russians positions to the road back around a km or more. It shows they still have the military capability to go on an offensive in the area. There is another supply road that could be used, but the one you mention is now definitely the main route in and out.

Taken from Twitter: #NATO decided to increase by 7.5 times the number of troops in combat readiness.
As a result of a meeting of defense ministers of the alliance, it was decided to increase combat-ready contingent from 40,000 to 300,000 people and strengthening its air cover on its eastern flank.
Also reported that Russia have massed together loads of fixed winged planes, helicopters and troops on the border of Ukraine and now possibly an attempt to overthrow the government in Moldova, honestly I can see NATO getting dragged into this with soldiers very soon, more so given the Russian planes flying into Polish airspace yesterday, Russia are really pushing the boundaries now

Unfortunately those who thought this war would just fizzle out with Putin happily going back to his people empty handed was sadly misguided. There's a long long way to go in this. We need the cunt dead.

Every man and woman and in between should ask themselves this only question each morning: What can I do today to make as many people as possible happy? That's all.
Do all leaders of the world think of that?

As Ben Wallace rightly points out, the one good thing to come out of this war is the total depletion of the Russian military. By the day they are losing the best part of 1,000 personnel - That makes Putin weaker and weaker. Quite how word is not making it's way back to the people of Russia yet is quite the cover up.
One would have to assume (and hope) Russia is going to be finished as a military super power for decades after this war, making the world a safer place.
With 97% of Putin's military focussed on Ukraine, it makes you wonder how weak, hopeless and vulnerable Russia would be to an invasion from another country..

Some money stories: - Russian rouble has weakened by ~10% this year. They sold off ~$0.5bn worth of Yuan in January and are increasing to $2.3 bn in a month. Source. - Russia retail sails down 10%, industrial production by 4% in 2022 ( source. - Russia will cut oil production by 5% this month. Source. $2.3 bn spent propping up the rouble this month is $2.3 bn that can't buy artillery shells and cruise missiles to murder Ukrainians with. Sanctions are helping.

This is mad if he’s telling the truth.
Russia wants to demilitarise its airforce as well as its army if it does.

Is this the Dmitry Yakushchenko incident? I haven't seen the footage thankfully but I did read that independent news agencies (Agentstvo/Mediazona) and an independent journalist (David Frenkel) questioned the legitimacy of it. I haven't had the time to look into the details and credibility of the rebuttal though so don't shoot the messenger....... I believe it is. It’s being widely reported and the sledgehammer is the weapon of choice for Wagner I’ve confiscated a sledgehammer at work today, very dangerous in the wrong hands. Especially a skinny electrician. Accident book out and everything🙄

The leader of Wagner has released a video criticising the Russian MOD for not supporting their Bakhmut offensive. Looks like the Wagner group has been decimated trying to take the small town over the last few months 👍🏻
Pressure on Ukraine from the west to withdraw from Bakhmut now it’s served its purpose. The next few months will be interesting to see where ukraine counters. My money is on Luhansk region and a push towards melitopol.

I don't want to get into a long analysis of the Russian Economy but if you fully read the links you have posted the articles are heavily caveated on what may or may not happen to the Russian Economy in the future The only exact measure we can use is that on the eve of Ukraine Invasion 23rd February 2022 $1 would get you 81 Roubles, today it will only get you 75 Roubles so the Rouble has strengthened by 6% against the $ in the past year. Admittedly the Rouble did weaken considerably until mid March 2022 but has climbed steadily since as Russia developed workarounds to sell its Oil primarily in Asia. Whether its decision to cut Oil Production by 5% in March leads to lower Revenues or Price increases due to supply and demand remains to be seen I could bore the pants off everyone by posting a deeper analysis of the Russian Economy but suffice to say and to paraphrase Mark Twain The Reports of the Death of the Russian Economy are greatly exaggerated

Another Russian high ranking figure falls 16 floors to their death. Apparently suicide as she phoned her ex husband just before The body of Marina Yankina was found on the pavement below an apartment building in the city’s Kalininsky district shortly before 8am on Wednesday morning, according to local reports.
The 58-year-old was finance director of the Western Military District, one of the five geographical battalions which comprise Russia’s army, the leader of which Mr Putin has replaced multiple times since invading Ukraine last February.
She is the second senior Russian military official to die this week in circumstances reportedly deemed a suicide by authorities.
Major General Vladimir Makarov, who reportedly led the oppression of journalists, opposition activists and protesters in his role at the Main Directorate for Combating Extremism, was claimed to have shot himself on Monday, a month after being relieved of his post by Mr Putin.

Interesting. Wonder if she changed her tune or its dissent from different factions vying for position? What a shit show.
