It was probably unknown to him though. Some might do it for the thrill of it. I wouldn't.

I think in Australia if you want to swim without the very small risk of a shark attack you better stick to swimming pools and even then indoor ones or you need to check for crocs just like you need to check for snakes when you cut the grass or 🕷 when you go the bog, so great place to holiday but I'll stick to England for living at least I know my dog can go for a swim without having to worry about it becoming handbag food.

More likely a Tiger than a Great White if its a shark A tiger shark will go straight in for the kill if hungry, a great white is very inquisitive, and will circle its prey before launching an attack, unless you happen to be a seal or penquin

I went swimming in shark bay off koh tao once.
The thai bloke in the boat played the jaws theme as soon as I dived in.
It was possible to walk on water that day.

I'm pretty sure someone worked out that you're more likely to get bitten if you play one game defending Vs Luis Suarez than if you spend a year swimming off the beach in Australia.
Tachyon probably has expected bites per 90 somewhere on his laptop.

Saw one swim under the jetty here last year. Never seen anything swim so fast in my life. Wouldn’t stand a chance if you’re in the way. Local lad who runs “The Survivor Gym” had his leg taken off by a Tiger shark when spearing with his mates in the Hinchinbrook Channel a few years ago, lucky to survive (actually more likely to get taken by a croc there than a shark!)

A work colleague was talking at lunch yesterday. Fell off his surfboard and realised a sealion was a metre away. Scary stuff if you've seen arrested development. But sharks just hit all the terrifying buttons somehow, horrible way to go ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/4tzqvp1fxEemag_TAXLJ.gif)

I'm a strong swimmer but hate swimming in the sea, and stay out of there as a rule.
We are not meant to be in there and you never know what the fuck is lurking beneath you.

Or take Seals clothes off, especially those tight shiny leather trousers he was wearing in the video for his hit song Crazy.

I very nearly met my maker snorkelling on the coral reef in Egypt. Had to be rescued. An experience I never want to repeat, the ocean will swallow you up in seconds.
