Fair play to Duhaney Not many are lucky enough to win a competition to play in a professional match I thought he did ok.

much improved second half. Vrancic made a difference when he came on. Thought Sima showed some good touches. Bursic did well. Toney diving and winning foul after foul from a very weak ref. Vrancic simply has to start every game until Powell is back. I'd rather be able to give him a rest every now and again, but without him we have no guile or catalyst for our game. Sawyers also has to play further forward. If MON can't see that he needs to pack it in now. Wilmot needs hard coaching over the next week to try and rediscover the player we had at the start of the season.

It’s Wilmot who worries me more. Wilmot started this season very well I thought but his passing lately has been awful It's a really odd one. His passing at times was visionary in the earlier games of the season. Not sure what's gone wrong. He needs to be focussed on in training this week.

Fair play to Duhaney Not many are lucky enough to win a competition to play in a professional match 😂 he’s a bit pathetic isn’t he. Made a couple of errors at the back near the end of the game, but mostly just terrified of going forward it seems. He’ll likely have an okay career in football, either as a backup in this division or as a regular in a couple divisions down.

Duhaney was OK, has a bit of pace and technique, made a couple of mistakes too like young players often do. Promising display.

Wow, we've taken so many steps backwards so quickly since that West brom game.
4 defeats in a row

Actually thought Wilmont was OK aside from the dual botched effort on the second goal, that all of the defenders screwed up. Not back to his flying self we saw early. Ostigard was by far worse. On his current form he shouldn't be near the match day squad.

In part. Other part is aside from Allen (sort of), who else do we have that is good/comfortable dropping deep in midfield? Thompson, he's the only one in the squad, Allen should be lucky to get onto the bench. Thompson shpuod have been yhe midfield anchor since the Fleetwood game when he was outstanding and the only one we have who can play that role

And here we go again, Radio Stoke doing their usual shit. First caller on is a bloke who criticises the team and the performance and then all other callers are allowed to rip into him and praise the club, despite us fucking losing.

He wasn't our worst defender. He wasn’t but he seems absolutely pointless. Surridge , brown , dulhenny , doughty , wilmot all our players , all signed by this process and management and not one part of a top 6 solution .it’s a huge concern we’ve 5 forwards not in double figures between them or even close , we need to score 2 to win in the league often just to draw and do that very very rarely

First half was atrocious, second half was a bit better but we still never looked like scoring apart from the goal.
I’d have left Fletcher and Campbell on for another ten minutes, we lost any kind of attacking threat once Surridge and Sima came on.
Only players to come out of that with any credit are Sawyers, Vrancic and Bursik.
Our defence is a complete shambles at the moment and just as worrying we’re hardly creating anything at the other end. We’ve finally got all our strikers fit and we’ve forgotten how to create chances.

We need a win Saturday to get us back on track, let’s not forget Brentford are a bloody good footballing team and we are no where near ready to mix it with that calibre of opposition week in week out just yet which was evident tonight.

Oh really? Ha. I always thought it was. Maybe it would be an easy way to reduce time wasting? Nope, you have to take a corner from the side it went out but there are no rules for a goal kick Sorry it was a rule once upon a time ,they thought it would make it quicker if you could take it from either side

No disrespect to the lad, but what the hell are a club like Stoke City doing messing about with a player as awful as Duhaney. Just about as bad as it gets and playing about four levels too high in the pyramid. Just who among our back room intelligencia thought that a player so limited in ability could take us forward?

So everyone is jumping on the negative bandwagon. There were some positives from tonight, Tyrese getting minutes unscathed and getting sharper, Sima getting minutes, Bursik with some good saves. First half we were poor and I think showed Brentford too much respect following their good start to their first season in the prem. Second half was better, we went at them more and pushed them. They are always going to be a threat with Ivan Toney upfront, although he seems to have some issues with gravity. We had a team that were 2-0 up and comfortable at half time, playing for time at 2-1 with about 68 mins gone. Having the stronger second half should help give the players a bit of a boost going into Saturday.

Fair play but I still think we are a long way off that team that they put out tonight after watching that. Yeah they played a very similar system to us but did it a lot better. It’s a big help when every player on the side is comfortable on the ball and is capable of consistently passing to someone on the same side. They’ve been recruiting players to fit that system for years so even when they make a lot of changes they can still be an effective side.
