Sawyers is 10x the player when he's not being made to stay deep.

Did nothing and its worrying how off the pace he is still. He’s a player who relies almost completely on pace and is just coming back from a chest infection. I’d have been shocked if he’d have had a good game today, but he still needed to play.

Did nothing and its worrying how off the pace he is still. It is isn't it, especially given the nature of his injury and his reliance on Express pace. Was hoping he'd be making an impact by now. I'm not a fan of Tymon at all.

This midfield needs to start the next game. Thompson will get dropped I’m sure. Best thing that could happen really is that both Allen and Clucas get injuries….would give Thompson the chance to make himself a first choice.

This midfield needs to start the next game. Hang on a minute, if I trawl through this thread the general consensus was the midfield is weak as piss and not fit for purpose:)!

Well he may be a shit passer of the ball, but exceptional positioning and block from Wilmot there that keeps us in the game!

Simas first Touch makes Dioufs look good Definitely not a back to goal player, is he. Having a bad first touch isn’t the worst thing as long as it’s in the direction of the opposing goal and you are quick. That was literally Cameron Jerome’s game.

They're being all professional and closing the game down now. But we've come into it well second half.

Brentford’s 3 subs seem to have calmed them down a bit.

With Vrancic in it's better, but we still have no one to play the deep role in the midfield. We can't have Sawyers and Vrancic both pushed forward all the time. It's worked for 15 minutes, but not the same that should be starting next game.

Simas first Touch makes Dioufs look good Is it possible? Anyway, he'll make it 2-2.

In part. Other part is aside from Allen (sort of), who else do we have that is good/comfortable dropping deep in midfield? Thompson, he's the only one in the squad, Allen should be lucky to get onto the bench.
