Possibly, it’s even made for this very purpose? To be fair to Morgan, I can’t remember where exactly he said it (maybe triggernometry?) but I wouldn’t describe his change in position as “back-pedalling” he just straight up said he was wrong and misguided in his original position of condemnation towards the sceptics. I quite like him these days. |

People are generally happier when they aren’t on it, in my opinion. Couldn’t agree more. Social media algorithms have a lot to answer for in the modern trend of political polarisation. YouTube I believe has historically skewed the opposite way and resulted in proliferation of far right ideologies. Although I’d argue that the natural general biases of the tech companies has led to a more apparent effort to combat than you see towards far left ideologies (which often get championed…) It’s that old chestnut that we’re well trained as a society in the west to spot the dangers of the far right, but when it comes to spotting the danger of the opposite side we have a societal blind spot. |
