It's actually got to the point where the police are shit scared to do anything for fear of prosecution. It will come to the pint where noone wants to join the police. It shouldn’t be but as a police officer you simply can’t make genuine mistakes or bad calls anymore before going straight to trial on Facebook, Snapchat etc With a lack of support from management and the IPCC who look to apologise and make examples of those down the chain (as was clear as day with the athlete that was stop checked) it’s a no win situation. |

Especially rabid animals like the ones in the video above Problem is that there’s such a big split now as shows on the Oatcake that they’ll never please everybody but one style of policing will get them in far less trouble than the other and we can’t blame them for wanting to protect their job, pension, mortgage, family etc. You only have to look at the reaction of some on here to reports involving the police where there’s any question over the level of force used or any suggestion of racism (even if there’s no evidence) to see why robust policing is disappearing and how they now come across as a soft touch. |
