Their server was down this am but finally got the download for free and played a round.
Thought it was stupid easy to start but…..it amps up. Played a LOT of golf games so that prolly helps the learning curve.
I have never done this but if anyone wants to play a round at some point I’d love to try.

I'm extremely disappointed by PGA Golf 2K21.
It's literally The Golf Club 2019 with even more PGA branding. The gameplay is the same, the graphics, the course editor is the same. Still runs on Unity.
It does have a 60 frames option on console this time for PS5 and Series X.
It needs a massive revamp for whatever it's next iteration is, especially as EA Sports PGA Tour is coming out next year with exclusive rights to The Masters and FedEx Cup, and graphically at least looks stunning. So far all 2K22 has going for it is Tiger Woods exclusivity.
One thing EA knew how to do for a long time was make good golf games. And I maintain that PGA Tour 2005 is still the greatest golf game of all time.
Rant over

Even going back to their first games on the Amiga and Atari ST they have hit the spot multiple times, hoping they don’t have a gold ultimate team mode though 😂

Rant over No, no rant at all. In fact a big +1 from here. Strapped in for the big learning curve/new offerings etc and it just felt like a game I had already played. A lot I seem to remember my fave being something that had TG on the cover around about ten or a bit more years ago.

Well 2010 is generally considered the best of the 360/PS3 era so I'd take a guess it's probably that one, follow by 2012.
I guess the issue with 2K21/The Golf Club is that it's basically made by an indie studio. 2K need to give them the funding for a new engine and staff to work on the series if it's to rival a behemoth the size of EA. I can see EA coming out swinging (literally), because they'll be naffed off at how poorly McIlroy PGA Tour did a few years back.

And there was cynical me thinking….”Here comes Bri..Sun..De..Chambos* 2022 game lol. *Other local niggling rivalry’s may be available on a pay as play basis.

I'm currently loving PGA 2K21 and it's mainly down to the societies. I joined one called TGC tours (https://www.tgctours.com/) and it's absolutely fantastic.
They have a full team running tournaments in so many divisions so you're always competing and moving up or down. They also have a team of tour course selectors so the courses are sensational each week. Season didn't start long ago and you can join and try and earn a tour card any time - could not recommend it more to enhance the enjoyment of the game.
