I've been on the beautiful island of Phi Phi Don for 1 week now and although it's beautiful here i surely do miss our sessions I would say it's a bit of an hippy island lots of farangs who look like they've been here a few years. It is a great community of people here and there are quite a few bars all showing the football, i even have cable in my room so i won't be missing much when the season starts As you well know this place was wiped out by the tsunami but its come along way since the boxing day wave. The island is basically 2 bays and in the middle separating them is the downtown bit. It didn't take the full hit from the wave but it came in from the 2 beaches as it washed around then the waves collided in the centre of the island. It's hard to find out any information on the tsunami because no one talks about it, which is a sign it must have been really bad. Quite a big population here for the size so i am presuming the number of fatalities were quite high I know most of the local divers that were out on the ocean that day were spared because they were on the boat as it road the 30 metre wave, it only became deadly as it broke on the shore lines. Everyone was moved off the island and not allowed back for two months because this is apparently how long it took to clear the place up of bodies and debris. Living here and seeing the geography of how the islands lay really does make it come home to you, if it had taken a full hit no one would have ever survived.. You'll be pleased to know i live on higher ground and i am on the second floor in my tree hut, well a little posher but still made of wood, so is a tad too hot during the day ??? Not sure how long i'll be here although a beautiful paradise there aint much to do - a far cry from the bright lights of Pattaya There was talk of a ob for me up there but this is some months away if it does come off at all In the meantime you guys should be visiting me ;D

Perfectly reasonable, so stop asking for a refund.
And stop eating asparagus before you go round. She's told you before.
