I thought the only time we looked dodgy was from their throw ins tbh. He caught a couple but he wasn’t overly commanding as the handball showed. He had a bad night. To stop this from going on forever I think we just have to agree that we disagree on this one. He will disagree that you should agree to disagree though.

Yes. That handball was shambolic and worthy of it alone. Bursik does that and he has hell to pay. And it’s because he’s young and inexperienced. Davies doesn’t need an excuse 😂 Apart from that handball he played ever so well! You must have seen that! Distribution was far too slow. I’ve not read all of the rest of the thread but I assumed he was going off for handling outside his area. Yes we won I enjoyed the game but to say Davies played ever so we’ll is utter nonsense. Question is why was it only a yellow. Surely it will be very bad for the game if keepers can get away with that.

I dont think it has changed if I'm honest, a yellow for deliberate handball and a ref if it stops a clear goalscoring opportunity. Its the same for an outfield player. If a player handballs it jn the box its a penalty and a yellow card, unless it stops a certain goal and then its a red. I agree to an extent that such an obvious one like last night, I don't think he could have argued with a red. It was such a cynical and ridiculous decision by Davies

It was such a cynical and ridiculous decision by Davies I’ve always thought it was a straight red and I can’t recall any instances of it not being given one no matter whether it was preventing a clear goal scoring opportunity or not. I think there were a lot of fans of both teams clearly expecting to see the red last night. I feel certain it always has been a red because if it wasn’t I think it’s something that you’d see a lot more often than we do. I don’t think that refs knowledge is much to go on he was consistently baffling in his decisions and particularly when he decided to give them as in late.

Iv always known it to be a yellow unless it’s a clear goal scoring opportunity. You don’t see it all the time as 1- you’d be giving away a free kick in a dangerous area. 2- you may aswell head or kick it out for a throw in and 3- it’s not worth a silly booking. Edit: to be fair. The confusion may come from the fact handling outside happens more often than not during a 1 v 1. Which would be denying a clear goal scoring opportunity, that’s a red.

Apart from the handball situation I think he commanded the box well and he also did a very good job as a sweeper keeper, always awake and ready to come out from his goal early enough. As said he played ever so well, and he really did in my opinion. If you think otherwise I'm OK with that, but I still disagree with you. I really like Bursik, but I still think Davis edges it when you compare the two.

I thought he had a good game and always commands his box and talks to the defenders.

How come Ward is the Wales first choice? He’s not played a league game since the 16/17 season

Kept us in it first half. What a strange post How is it strange? It’s woeful goalkeeping. What’s he doing? No it's not woeful goalkeeping. That is an over reaction. You have an agenda against Davies and it impairs your view. The ball is moving across the goal, Davies shifts his weight and is then beaten by a quick ball that wrong foots him. It happens regularly to every GK up and down the country...not all end up as goals however. Woeful was Sawyers inability to track McGoldrick.

Davirs should probably have saved the 2nd and I think his reaction tells you that.
Smith should have done more to stop the cross and quite probably Sawyers or one of the 3 centre halves might have wanted to pick up the centre forward.
It was pretty shit all round in truth.

Davies was at fault for the first, his distribution was to hit it as hard as he can down field, went straight to their Gk and away they went Team could have done better to stop the attack but Davies lack of distribution and his reluctance and confidence to play from the back are meaning we give the ball away so much more than when JB plays
Good save in the first half, that’s what he is meant to do. JB did the same numerous times. JB dropped because of howler again derby. Think MON should be dropping Davies after yday - keep faith in JB. All players make mistakes but it’s Davies lack of distribution and being adapt to play out from the back hurts us a lot

Davies has looked very uncertain and under confident with the ball at his feet. Quite the opposite with Bursik who almost seems too over confident!
I’d seriously be looking at a Premier League GK on loan in January if we’re still in the mix. This doesn’t change my view that Bursik will go on to be a very good goalkeeper.
