Were making hard work of looking anything but shite & have done for the past 4/5 seasons. League One clubs, with League One players, can come up and take the League by storm, because the standard is by & large, dogshit. I hate this league with a passion. I'll start believing the 'it's competitive, not shite' stuff when we're competitive, and not shite. If the Premier League is akin to pulling Jennifer Lopez, the Championship is waking up and realising you've spent the night with Dave, a transitioning J-Lo lookalike. It isn’t predictable. It is, however, pretty shite. It’s depressing how much hard work we are making of looking like a remotely competent championship team. As a supporter base, we offer out every excuse in the book for the utter shit we’ve produced as a championship club. Its exactly how it’s always been and you know as well as I do it’s not shite. It’s competitive week in week out and the attendances tell you that also It’s absolutely crap. Out of 230 odd games we’ve played at this level since relegation, how many good games have we watched? How many opposition teams have you thought “what a good side they are”? 3? Possibly 4? In 5 seasons. It’s absolutely crap as both Plymouth and Ipswich are proving. The sad thing is we are consistently among the worst teams in the division. |

Anyone with connections in Greece know? The letters AEK do actually stand for the words that precede Athens and their tracksuits have "A.E.K" on them. Just seems odd that we appear to have been getting it wrong for decades. Maybe not! A.E.K stands for Athletic Club of Constantinople (spelt with a K in Greek). The club was founded by refugees moved from Turkey to Greece in the 1920’s . Many AEK supporters still identify with this historic link. The club is referred to, by everyone I have encountered, as “ayke” rather than the separate A.E.K. Interesting club. |

The league is crap. Even Tony Pulis stoke and Luton can get out of it, stoke with a points total that wouldn’t make the play offs most seasons. I’d rather watch us be a good championship team than a poor premier league one and I was well bored of the premier league by the time we were relegated.
