I don’t get this possession based passing football on the edge of their own penalty area. It’s asking for trouble particularly with Championship standard players. We used to do that under O’Neil. It’s the most boring part of football. Loved how we got the ball forward under pulis especially at home I gather the reason is to draw the opposition out and create space further up the pitch. I can understand why it works with technically proficient players, but with your average championship player it’s like playing Russian Roulette.

**** me! How much did Wolves pay for the carthorse at centre-forward? £40m+? Worth every penny!

Yeh absolutely when we did it under O’Neil we had players who couldn’t do the basics never mind play out from the back and same for soton they’re no different in 3 games out of 6 they have conceded 13 goals. That dick Martin needs to change his style or he will be collecting his p45

To be fair, I am really looking forward to taking the **** out of my Wolves supporting mates on Monday. That had to be the worst attempt to head a ball I may ever have seen. Wolves would actually be a decent team, if they had anyone who looked remotely capable of regularly scoring up front. (Wash my mouth out with soap!)

He was capable of stepping out with the ball and passing it well. My issue with us under MON, particularly at home, was how slow we used to play. There was no tempo at all.

Soton looked ok in the final third but rarely happened.

Yeh pre injury souttar was the only one you trusted at this. It still bores me like the old arsenal team loads possession but in wrong area of the pitch. I can’t remember be bored with the pulis style at home. Away was different some really poor away days

[br I only watch from when it was 2-1 but yes they looked ok going forward but defensively I thought if Leicester wanted to up it they could’ve scored more. They had a few chances where a square ball would’ve been a goal. Even when I watched soton against sheff weds I thought they were nothing special

Yep, was more there for Leicester you felt if necessary. Upped it when Soton scored

They've got some decent players but lack a decent striker and short on numbers on central defence.

I'm not a big Roy fan (Think his England reign tarnished my views of him) but do hope he's Ok & it isn't anything serious.

The majority of teams that get promoted play possession based football and play out from the back what’s not to get about it? It’s not like we’re watching teams like Preston getting promoted on a regular basis. Southampton on top of having more possession had more shots and more corners. On another day you get a different result. I don’t think that result would have been different only maybe 1-7 Confirmation bias. You obviously crave a certain type of football and re arrange the facts to fit your opinion. 8 shots on target apiece says it could have been 8-8.

Blows my mind that Darwin Nunez isn't a regular starter for Liverpool. He's such a watchable player. Always making things happen.

A Liverpool winner is inevitable It was very predictable The gap between the 2 teams is massive. It's getting a bit depressing watching some PL games tbh even when lesser teams get ahead it's just a matter of trying to hang on. Even though Wolves had a flurry in the first half, as soon as Liverpool upped a gear there was only one winner.

Nice of Gakpo to score and assist after I took him out of my fantasy team for doing absolutely fuck all in his previous 4 games.

I guess I always blame Hodgson for throwing Shawcross's international career under the bus, bringing him on off the bench on his debut to mark an on fire Slatan was poor management in my view. Not to mention Eng v Iceland 🫣😬

Spurs score in 97th and 99th minute to lead Sheff Utd 2-1. Cruel!
15 minutes of added time!
