Adam Armstrong's impending move to Southampton in a deal reported to be worth up to £15m.
I wonder how our fans would take if if we sold a player like Armstrong to a Prem club for £15m or less.
He's 24 and scored 58 in 150 games at Blackburn. Tyrese has quite some way to go to get to that stage yet.
Seems like a good price for Southampton?

Good deal for Blackburn. I think it might turn out to be an exceptional deal as I'm not convinced he's Premier League class, time will tell I guess......

I'd be surprised if he didn't do just as well as or at least close to as well as Watkins. Watkins went for nearly twice that. Time will tell of course, but in my opinion, Blackburn have been short changed.

Not with Newcastle getting 40% of their profit on the deal its a fairly average deal, the only good thing about Tyrese been injured is all those lower half premier sides would be sniffing round him.

It's a deal based on necessity die to their current situation, if you listen to Mowbray he's not even sure the money made will be reinvested in the squad......

He’s in the last year of his contract which always pushes the fee down.

Considering they finished 15th with his 29 goals they could well be visiting league 1 if they dont replace him adequately although in the long run that might be best for them as the Venkys may then sell up, they aren't bad owners in one sense as they continue to fund the club but equally they still dont seem to have a clue what they are doing.

Different times with covid and the contract situation mentioned has obviously affected his price but you'd still think £18m-£20m.

Out of contract in the summer they were never going to get £20m unfortunately for them.....
