Well, less than a fortnight left to the big kick-off. Much still rests on the late movements in the transfer market, but I feel we have cautious cause for optimism.
Here is my, only slightly biased, Championship table prediction:
Fulham WBA Bournemouth Sheff Utd Stoke Cardiff Middlesbrough Reading Blackburn Barnsley Millwall Swansea Bristol City QPR Luton PNE Huddersfield Hull Forest Blackpool Coventry Peterborough Derby Birmingham

Cautiously optimistic, which is always dangerous when you support Stoke.

Cautiously optimistic, which is always dangerous when you support Stoke. Better than so many other seasons of pragmatic pessimism - progress of sorts, I guess.

Genuinely haven’t a clue but QPR seemed to be on an upward trend last season so fancy them to finish higher.

It seems like the most unpredictable season in recent memory

Fancy us to be solidly in the play off picture. Think Blackpool will surprise a few actually. Got a good manager there and I think his stock will rise again this season, mid table

I’d be surprised if Barnsley repeated last season in any way. I think they’ll be down in the bottom 5 or 6.

Not many sides who haven't been in the Prem there. PNE fans must think they should have had a crack perhaps by now. have they made the play offs ever?
Did they play West Ham once?

Made the play-offs three times in mid-2000s, when Fuller, Cresswell and then Parkin played up front for them. Failed to get promoted all three. Then just missed out when finished 7th under Alex Neil a few years back.

Had a feeling Reo Coker scored but if memory is still working, Zamora missed an absolute sitter with no keeper then scored a few mins later . Was typical of Zamora

As an outsider I cab't see any standout teams - all of the ones you might imagine should be up there (eg Sheff U, Swansea, Bournemouth) have problems which need solving.
I think the way is clear for any team(s) which gets it right to make a charge, with Stoke as good a bet as any (imo).
QPR fans are also beginning to get unusually excited.

Let me wait until the window closes before committing 🍦 Smart move. Don't want to be risking the loss of a crunchy, wafery , creamy ice cream treat at this early stage.

As long as I see real improvement and we end up top 10 or better I will be quite pleased with the season. If we could sneak into a playoff place I'd be happy as f...!

Can I change my mind on a weekly basis? WHen we lose the first game, on here its "MON out", 'bag o wank' "WTF was that" "useless Stoke" If we win however - "we'll piss this league", "theres some proper shit in this division"
