Speaking as a long term season ticketholder, we have had far worse owners. We have a financially stable club, maybe people should take a look around and (if they are SCFC fans) count their blessings and maybe, be careful what they wish for.
Coopers situation needs resolving quickly, can we all agree that? At least we are looking to bring players in, we have signed two young, hopefully eager forwards which is a positive after last season. We still have Lowe and Grimes. It's not perfect but could it ever be?

can see the logic there re Swansea can't re Derby, they look absolutely fucked, definite relegation candidates at the very least as things stand, in fact I can't see another club in a worse shape than Derby right mow in our league Rooney will pull in all sorts of favours. I bet he'll be able to get high quality loan players for 6 months which no one else would be given. I always thought the reason Lampard did so well there was because of the loan players he was able to bring in. I also suspect that once Derby log their revised accounts their restrictions will be lifted. I noticed Rooney was getting involved in appealing to the league to relax them the other day. Going to have be loans with no loan fee and 90/100% wages paid by the parent club Lampard got very good loans but they wouldn't have been free.

Apparently the board is annoyed that he’s been applying for every job that’s been going this summer What’s the point of him applying for other jobs if he’s under contract with Swansea? Surely the club would first have needed to give permission for another club to speak with him.

Surely the club would first have needed to give permission for another club to speak with him. 🤷🏻♂️ I dunno, but as your self have often wondered this. And more so - when it’s reported that X has been given ‘permission’ to talk to Y etc. I’m quickly speculating on the spot that it’s because there’s no such thing as a transfer fee for a manager but if under contract and leaves for another club then there possible liability and claim of ‘tapping up’ a manager, so that they end there current contract and then immediately sign with someone else?? I’m happy for any clarification / rulings on the deets of all this.

In my experience of life on the Oatcake this will be the cue for Swansea to launch a successful promotion campaign!! West Ham has to sell.

What is going on there? They must be bust, or something.

Terry seems to have taking a very considered and measured view to developing ham career and trying to build a broad base as opposed to just jumping in on reputation alone . not sure May saw that coming but he undoubtedly has real leadership qualities

No fan of Terry, (He's a number 2 alright) but he was smart enough to see that Swansea is an over-expectant cesspit of organized futility. And smart enough to realize that he wasn't their first choice. A club that thinks it belongs in the Champions League but through their own stupidity is more likely to end up in League 1. A relegation fight all season at a club that only sells, is not a good place to start your career out.
I've always considered them twits and now their owners have proved me right. Cooper gets you to the playoffs 2 years in a row, (While entertaining you with his Gene Wilder eyes) but you don't win the playoffs.(Which isn't easy to do) So let's hurl our toys from the pram, give up on the manager, sell our best players and don't buy anyone. Then let's pour fuel on the fire by egotistically assuming that another guy will be thrilled to take the job, only to find out at the 11th hour he'd rather stay on as an assistant at QPR than try to wrestle the mess that's been created.
I have no sympathy for them. May the list of clubs that make themselves easier for us to beat grow longer.
Edit: Sorry! but my first sentence regarding John Terry should have read ACCORDING TO THE MEDIA. Now that I think about it - I don't personally KNOW anything about him other than what the media said. Given that and the recent track record, everything I read might have been bollocks. (Or...It COULD have been the Sex Pistols?...) Just thought I'd add that because he's showing the first signs of dare I say it....a good manager?

no parachute money this year. So their income is down £6 million this year. What do you want them to do, spend money they don't have? I thought that they might have got up last year, but they didn't. So they have to have a rethink.

That might have been Terry's original plan, or at least that Smith would fail to meet the huge expectation on him even without beig undermined.
But right now Smith is as secure as any Villa manager has been for years.
Smith is a top manager, underrated by many outside of the clubs he's managed, and JT must realise he's got little or no chance of replacing him at VP anytime soon.
