Anyone recommend any good curry houses in Stone? Need somewhere to meet people from Stafford, Newcastle and Trentham. Know the one on the A34 which is an option, but any actually in Stone so we can have a few drinks too?

Best Indian food I've ever had.

Having been to India several times I just can’t face going for a curry locally these days unless I’ve been invited. It’s like night and day.

There’s an absolutely cracking Indian takeaway in Audlem, my brother in law has also been to India several times and other than the daily shits he endured he wasn’t at all impressed with the food.

So he was impressed by the shits? No, sure he said they were unisex toilets and on occasion apologised to the person who was using the toilet after him.

Fair enough. I’d just say completely different to what we find here so a matter of taste probably

I love India in general but obviously such a huge place you can't generalise and my Mrs' Dad was from Goa which although touristy in parts is quite fantastic to visit.

Blancnri next to foxs garage is really good. Bit different from the standard curry house.
Both Mojos and Ovilash are decent as well with great boozers pretty much next door.

Mojos and Streat are both owned by the same guy (the brother of the chap that own Planet Bollywood in Stoke). Both are ok although nothing spectacular.

Ovilash used to be decent but years since I’ve been. On having curries in India, have to agree really, they’re never the same when you’ve had a proper one. We had one in the Taj Mahal hotel where the terrorist attack was a few years ago and it was sensational. Also had great curry everywhere else we went, including a marvellous spirally buttery bread thing and that was superb.
Astonishingly, after spending a week there, and having food in factories and all sorts, I never once got the shits.
