Which one? He failed medicals at 2 clubs on his knee Did he really, how far into his career was the second medical he failed? He failed more than two

the same West Ham who signed him on pay per play due to his medical problems? Again you know better. Did they sign him? Did he play? Did he score enough to get himself another move? You could repeat that again to get his move to Chelsea too, As you state, bad knee, FFS how confusing is it for you? Cresswell failed a medical elsewhere before joning us. because a problem is spotted doesn't mean is guaranteed to cause an injury. West Ham signed him on a structured deal based on his medical report. Which bit is confusing? H was obviously a risk as THREE medicals proved but luckily for him he got through his career without issue. Arnautovic once failed a medical before joining us. I get the bloke on the internet with hindsight years later is who they should have asked but think our insurance at the time which was the issue may not have been swayed by such wonderful medical knowledge

Been out since October having a ACL operation. Decent on his day for the Championship and the Holden link. He’s still unfit and recovering from ACL. We’re going to sign him not knowing if he’ll be the same player? Add Doughty to that and Tyrese and I really can’t see us signing Weimann! Is that a serious question? Watch and learn.

Jack Clarke a side What is it with Stoke and not utilising the loan market for young premiership players. We had Cuco Martina whilst other clubs had Mason Mount, Fikayo Timori, Harry Wilson, Harvey Barnes. Never underestimate our transfer policy.

Good god we’re browsing in the £1 DVD bins they used to have in Woolworths.
I know we’re potless but Andreas fucking Weimann.
Weimann indeed.

It may well happen, but given Doughty’s signing whilst injured and the mystery surrounding Tyrese, don’t you think there’s a risk in signing Weimann?

I wonder if we will use the same doc that assessed Demba’s knee Hopefully they make the right call again and steer clear.

Has done it at this level- could be a useful signing- a better option than some currently on the books. We have to remember where and what we are now- a poor mid table championship side. He has the ability if fit.
Amazes me the players folk on here dismiss.

I must admit I've never heard of him. His Dad was in the Rolling Stones ...and his mum has just turned 40

We need to be realistic at the type of players that are achievable now.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-transfer-news-gossip-5499306This week, then, gossip has been building around Stoke-on-Trent that Stoke are interested in signing Andreas Weimann from Bristol City.
There is obviously the Dean Holden connection at Stoke, with Holden having got Weimann playing well as a number 10 in the first half of last season, and it is not one to be discounted.
Indeed, Stoke are believed to be showing interest in other Championship players who are currently under contract in what could be an interesting summer of wheeling and dealing, even if there are unlikely to be many transfer fees changing hands.

I'd take him of you can keep fit. I think bar doing his knee last year his injury record is ok. As a squad player it's a shrewd signing at this level that will improve us.
Oh and it stops him scoring past us whenever he plays against us.

Speaking of away kits- how vile is that? Would be a good signing. If we were in this shocking FFP state we keep hearing of on here, would we have signed Alfie?

Maybe Weimann is a cheaper option on wages to Powell and this is the wheeling and dealing needed where we could get a fee for Powell, clear his wages and get someone in free on less money? It could all contribute to FFP, but whether he would do a better job than Powell is the point for debate and I’m not sure it would go down well unless it helps to secure the stays of Collins, Souttar, Campbell etc.

Surely something like a pay-per games or incentivized contract?

Thirty when the season starts. Post ACL. One goal every 8 or 9 games. We should avoid him like the plague. Lazy scouting.

It could be Wiemann in and Powell out.
I think some fans dont realize how far up shit creek we are with respect to FFP

It could be Wiemann in and Powell out. I think some fans dont realize how far up shit creek we are with respect to FFP because there's no solid proof we are. Some are just looking at the loss figure when only a fraction of that counts towards FFP and assuming we're in trouble due to that.

It could be Weimann on the wing too as we need another winger. Hopefully we will see both Ince and McClean leave before the window is shut!

3 paged threa, mentions in the Sentinel but still no real confirmation of impending medical tomorrow. I would've liked to have had something more concrete by now if this was happening.
