The BBC have stated some of our promotion winning team have attracted other clubs attention and it seems we haven't ruled out selling either. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/stoke_city/7447759.stmI think we should be keeping all are first team at present until we have substantially added to it. I hope we do not just see pounds signs and sell for the hell of it.

"I think we should be keeping all are (sic) first team at present until we have substantially added to it."
Staffordshire Knot - surely that is exactly what Scholes has said? It is pretty routine (for a club at the start of the transfer window and with no financial pressures) to get new players in before selling its own players. I doubt if £ signs will come into it. Unlike previous seasons we are under no pressure to sell a player unless we have a better one lined up for that position. And we are unlikely to find players wanting to move to further their careers - at least not until they have seen how we make out in the Prem.
As you might expect this story was posted and discussed on here on Friday the day it was published.

True but that shouldn't give any of us cause to worry - and Staffordshire Knot seems worried. Players like Parkin and little Ant are hardly first team regulars thank god.
