Something very odd going on at Swansea if they can't attract John Eustace.
They clearly thought he was in the bag as looks like they've known Cooper was going for weeks

Given we have not met the £2m asking price for Dion Charles (who must be in tiny wages too) or met the apparant €2.5m asking fee for the Slavia Prague striker also on tiny wages) looks like we have got much room at all |

Not with their philosophy Possibly, you may be right but do they even have a philosophy these days, seems they've changed owners a few times in recent years & by all accounts Cooper who does fit their recent philosophy path has left after disagreements with the board for reasons as yet unknown. Know Hugh Jenkins used to like the Brendan Rogers & Carlos Carvalhal style of play & the younger coaches coming through as managers but that approach hasn't really done anything for them of substantial note. Appointing Eustace would of been a fair old gamble. Not sure what other young aspiring coaches they'd be tempted to call on next. The fact Cooper has walked out it would seem & Eustace would rather remain a coach at QPR instead of getting his big break as a manager suggests all may not be well in South Wales! |
