So, on Tuesday France play Italy and Holland play Romania. If Holland keep up their goal scoring average and beat Romania 3-0 and Italy draw 0-0 with France, Romania, France, and Italy will all finish on 2 points, with -3 goal difference, all having scored 1 and conceded 4. What happens then? In the event of 2 teams finishing equal on everything, they have a penalty shoot-out, but how on earth do you have a 3-way penalty shoot out!!!!? This will be interesting.....

How would they have a shootout if the two teams needing to contest it had just finished playing at two different grounds? Say it needed to be France and Romania for example? When they are playing Italy and Holland respectively.

They should automatically give it to the least historically successful team, I'd take that.

Sadly it will be pretty much the opposite of interesting. From the UEFA website: "If Romania lose 3-0 and the other match finishes 0-0, Italy and Romania would have to be split on qualifying coefficients, in which case Italy would prevail 2.364-2.250."
