Pat McCourt....yes who the fuck McCourt set for West Brom switch Derry City winger Pat McCourt is set to complete a move to West Bromwich Albion after the clubs agreed a transfer fee. The deal is subject to the player passing a medical which is likely to take place next week. McCourt, 24, is understood to have agreed personal terms with the newly promoted Premier League club. Derry have refused to disclose the fee involved but it is believed to be substantially better than the initial offer which the club said was derisory. Kenny had partially blamed the long, drawn out negotiation with West Brom for City's poor form in the Eircom League. It is thought that the Midlands club's initial offer for McCourt was in the region of £50,000. The former Northern Ireland U21 international had also been linked with other clubs in England and Scotland. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/irish/7454879.stmSorry if already posted, couldnt see it. Wheeeel me if you must I wonder wether he will be a Doyle esc player? As in not very well heard of, and comes good? Anyone heard of him, or seen him play for that matter?

Former Northern Ireland U-21 international. If he was any good, surely he'd be a full inernational? I mean N. Ireland have league 2 players in their squad.

Wasn't Rooney from Derry and supposedly their brightest prospect? Doesn't particular bode well for this man!

Travelled around ROI and Northern Ireland last month and went to see Derry City v Galway United. McCourt was easily the best player on the pitch and looked like someone who has real potential.
He was at Rochdale a couple of years ago and Man City tried to sign him (Stuart Pearce was manager at the time) but Rochdale rejected it.
Bit of a gamble but looked so comfortable on the ball when I saw him...great balance, control and trickery. Could turn out to be a it of a bargain.
There again, he did miss a sitter!...
