The knob of a jogger on Audlem Road this morning who thought it a good idea to go jogging through tight twisting lanes, no pavement, absolutely atrocious weather and well camouflaged to blend in with the tall hedgerows.
So obviously an articulated lorry coming round a tight twisting lane makes out some camouflaged knob jogging at the last minute running towards him, the driver slams on his brakes and the enormous load of steel tubing he’s carrying jackknifes to the drivers right and crosses the double white lines, so initially a get the lorry on the wrong side of the road coming at me then get his trailer coming directly at me, literally had nowhere to go and absolutely waiting for it to slam into me.
As luck as it the driver corrected the slide and in all honesty the driver was superb in avoiding a/Me & b/ knob jogger.
I slowed right down to bollock the jogger but the gormless idiot carried on regardless.
Drivers mostly always get the blame for bad driving but in this instance not at all, how he wasn’t crushed I’ll never know, he deserved it really by being so pathetic

Couple of points, it does sound as though the jogger was poorly dressed and common sense usually keeps most runners off the more dangerous roads but it sounds as though:
A. Might not be a good running road, but the road wasn't really suited to a big lorry either. B. If he's jack knifed then he was almost certainly driving too fast and not anticipating that a jogger, old lady, baby pram (jokes aside), small car on the wrong side of the road is potentially round the corner.

I'd guess there was a fair chance the lorry driver's satnav had directed him to use that route, Mets, and wouldn't be surprised if he was thinking "$*%$^& - what a tiny road - not suitable for me at all - hope I can get off it soon, and I hope there won't be any joggers around............ $*%$^& !!!"

These days trucks have sat Nav’s which avoid minor roads, low bridges etc. Of course he perhaps didn’t have such tech. Just saying😉
