Championship ⚽ Tue 16 March 2021
I think we could expect 3 or 4 changes. But it will be a real test to take any point/s. Their goal difference is good.

3 4 3 worked well in the cup earlier when we looked quite fluid going forward.

10 wins in a row now then. Otherwise we can forget about play offs.😁

Doesn't matter what side we put out, we'll get dicked anyway. Only the Derby game left now that really matters to me. If we lose that I probably won't even bother again until the summer.😎

Think I would start Coates at right back and Norton attacking left side. These lads need to be thrown in to see if they are upto a squad place standard next season or shipped out on loan for first team football.
We have eleven games left, we most definitely are not getting into the play-offs with the usual team we are putting out, I really can't see the harm in fielding these kids to see what they can offer

No to Brown = whatever side O'Neil and his Management Team have to realise he's a duffer - Next Meet the Manager someone has to ask how come we signed him

Saturday surely should be some form of watershed? We cannot carry on playing like that, with certain players getting picked every week no matter how they play?
For me (if only to be a bit more solid, compact and composed):
Davies
Souttar Batth Chester
Smith Allen Thompson RND
Powell Clarke
Fletcher

You wouldn't have thought Allen or Mikel could play 3 games in a week, Fletcher possibly in that category as well. If Cousins not fit, we have limited options in midfield, Thompson apart. If no Fletcher, then who????.

No enthusiasm to watch this one at all. Fully expect an easy defeat. Two sides in contrasting form.

We really need to keep our better players in their best positions whatever happens, sticking Powell out wide isn't going to get us anywhere and takes any small amount of pace we do have out of the team at the same time.

My team suggestion was more a 3421, so Smith and RND provide the width and Powell and Clarke tuck in as inside forwards behind Fletch.

O'Neill basically conceded that the play offs were over in his post match interview on Saturday, I agree now, the best we can realistically hope for is to maintain a top half finish. People were calling for Kieran Coates to be playing when we were four points off the play offs with 15 games to go, I didn't agree then but I do now. I'd start him ahead of Tommy Smith tomorrow who has absolutely garbage on Saturday. Good opportunity for the kid to hopefully make an impression and hold the place for the remaining ten games.
EDIT: Just read the post above. Disappointing.

I see people saying we need to go more defensive against Cardiff, why, we are safe from relegation and should be able to play with the freedom to take the shackles off and give it a good go.

Won't surprise me one bit, to see Mikel & Allen in midfield and The useless Brown out wide again.
MON for some reason gets a stiffy when they are on the pitch.
