Just bereft of the slightest bit of quality and a manager with negativity coursing through his veins.
Painful.

Story of pretty much all the home games since Campbell got injured.
We've edged them all, but never really looked like scoring
So frustrating.

We were shit. They are terrible. They have 2 good players, moore and Joao. One didn't play today the other barely touched the ball. We should be beating teams like them comfortably

We should be beating teams like them comfortably I’m sorry but that’s utter bollocks, they’ve been playing really well and until the last 20 minutes they were not in it in an attacking sense. As for us we needed to score whilst on top in the 1st half but creation is not at the top of our team at the minute

Just bereft of the slightest bit of quality and a manager with negativity coursing through his veins. Painful. Just bereft of the slightest bit of quality- no, a fair amount of quality on display today, just not enough A manager with negativity coursing through his veins- nonsense Painful- yes, our inability in the final third to turn decent performances into results is at the heart of it, and these draws week after week are totally painful

He looks like a bloke standing in a park watching a game until somebody kicks him up the arse and asks if he's making any subs.

Reading were never really in it. We controlled the majority of the tempo. Our only downfall today was we were toothless.

Better than in recent weeks in that we created 3-4 decent chances and should probably have buried a couple of them.
The game management though continues to be absolutely appalling. It feels like every week whoever we're playing makes a decent sub that makes a difference and we keep plodding away as if nothing's changed.
Waiting 82 minutes to make a sub - and that sub being the removal of our most creative player - was almost self parodic.

The bloke is scared of his shadow, it’s pathetic. Go on I’m all ears what subs would you have put on and who would you have taken off McLean was dreadful today, he should of been hooked off and Matando on. Clarke should have been switched to the left. He left Allen on 10/15 minutes too long. Right bringing cousins on. Same with Fletcher, should have come off 10 mins earlier. For who, Brown or Vokes, none are that appealing.

The football is sterile, and that is being very kind.
2/3s of the front three that played today were signed by this manager. The only bit of genuine quality was from the holding midfielder doing his best Johnny Butler impression. We could have played till Christmas and not scored.
The OP is spot on, negativity is absolutely sizzling through this manager. How Matondo didn't get on I'll never know. Up to now, a complete waste of vital FFP money.
The excuse of Campbell is now wearing thin. He's 19 years old and in his first real proper season. To say we are hanging our entire creative hat on him is embarrassing. If ONeill is genuinely going down that road he wants sacking on the spot.
I appreciate everyone sees things differently and I respect that, but this football really isn't for me and 2 shots on target, which is now a recurring feature under ONeill, is not my cup of tea.

Say what you like but there is still credit in building a team that doesn’t concede easily. It’s something that we can take forward into a new season especially as the core of the defence is young. The team we played today were playing well and we took them on and generally were better than them. It’s nothing to merit a meltdown.

Thought we were only a goal away from a very good performance against one of the better teams in the division. I actually thought we played better this afternoon than when we beat them 3-0 away!

There were some good phases of play.
It’s just wouldn’t drop for us.
Admittedly though we didn’t have too many chances.

We are now fans of an established mid to lower Championship side. The ambition shown by all connected with SCFC over the last 2 years is congruent with our current level and achievements. I’m not expecting anything better in due course.

It’s an undeniable fact we are struggling for cohesive attacking play but it’s not fair that a lot of people are saying that this is a result of MON’s mindset. He brought plenty of goals to the side last season but circumstances and personnel change and he is doing what he can with what is available.
