Trump was an absolute clown, but how the hell did he manage to lose to Biden ? Because the voters thought he was less of an arsehole/risk/clown than Trump, who demonstrated just how much of an arsehole he was throughout his presidency and indeed throughout the closing of it. Is he still pursuing all those lawsuits?

It’s a good point. How many times have we seen him break into that bloody awkward half-trot to prove he’s sprightly. Daft owd bugger Hurt his foot playing with his dogs a while back too. Barely makes a lick of difference to the presidency whether you can make it up some steps in 30 seconds or 25 seconds. Silly. Does this not concern you the leader of the free world

Well I’ll start the prediction table off He’ll be gone One week after the mid terms just so they don’t have to go to the voters with Harris But in the mean time he’ll appear less and less with very few speaking parts

This is like celebrating the sun rising. The jobs surge will happen everywhere as countries emerge from lockdown. It’s not a reflection particularly on Joe Biden. Similarly when the same happens in the UK (and Scotland) it won’t be something Johnson can claim credit for (although he will, as will Sturgeon for Scotland). Btw, you did note the US employment levels are still 8.4 million below the start of the Covid crisis. So expect more job surge numbers as the economy kicks back in.

Because they allegedly rigged the vote Yeah Trump and his campaign people came up with a lot of lies and bullshit to try and overturn democracy. The election was stacked against Biden by all the vote suppression laws Republicans have done and Trump still lost. Tells you how unpopular he was.

Presidents get way too much criticism or credit for the economy doing its thing. The Democerats' support bill has helped but a similar one would have happened under Trump anyway. The only way it wouldn't is if the Republicans had enough Congressional seats and Biden was in charge. They made it clear they were going to copy their anti-Obama strategy: block aid so they could hurt Americans as much as possible, then trick voters into blaming the President so the Republicans get back in power. The aid bill might end up being a little too much and causing an inflation spike later anyway.

I'm not bothered about physical disability, mental issues are worse. I watched about 20 minutes of Biden answering questions, he's a lot sharper than Trump and talks a lot more sense despite his stutter, so I guess at least it's a step up for the yanks? Neither of them look the sharpest they've ever been though, would be nice to retire the pair of them to somewhere sunny.

I think this story is a good example of the Trump vs Biden differences. The Trump campaign designed the perfect small print to scam people into repeated & bigger donations, including draining a cancer patient's bank account. So far the Trump side has had to refund $120 million, Biden has $20 million. And a lot of people won't realise so I bet this is another successful Trump scam to fill their coffers. Both sides mistakenly took payments, which is bad, but Biden's side was much more honest and open, the Trump campaign tricked 500% more cash out of people. Also the Republican WinRed is for-profit, the Democratic ActBlue is nonprofit. Biden told the truth about the election result and didn't use it to raise money, Trump lied about the results and used those lies to raise over $200 million for "legal fees". So far less than 5% has gone on legal fees and it looks like most is going to disappear into Trump's pockets via a SuperPAC. Pretty standard Trump vs Biden behaviour.

Not that it excuses this kind of skulduggery from the Trump camp in any way, but I'm pretty sure Clinton used the same trick in her campaign donation drive.

Yeah, this needs to be stamped out from all campaigns. It's bullshit that you can be automatically opted into more donations and it should be illegal - you should have to explicitly opt in. That's what European law says. There were some reports of similar activity by the Clinton campaign, but the overall numbers again seem really small versus the Trump campaign. This is pretty standard: both sides do some dirty stuff. The Trump campaign just does far more, and nastier fraud. They defraueded far more people for far more money with a particularly dirty trick. That'd explain why the refunds are 500% higher for the Trump campaign. Then Democratic-leaning groups tend to be more transparent, Republican-leaning groups tend to shovel money into a dark web, recently a Trump-controlled PAC. The two aren't remotely the same but the media keeps trying to be "balanced" and bringing up "both sides did bad things" all the time. It's a bit like if you have a couple of mates staying with you; one borrows your car without asking to go pick up some cigarettes and returns it spotless. The other borrows it but they also steal your money to pay for the fags and a hooker they fuck in the back of your car. Then they dump your cum-stained Corsa and use your cash to get a cab back to the house. Both of them did shitty things but they're on different levels.

To be fair to Trump, I don't think he ever did. He boasted about grabbing women by the pussy. Admittedly, they were adult women he was referring to, not a 9 year old, so that makes it ok. To me, this looks like Biden trying to compliment a girl on how grown up she looks, but if you want to insinuate he's some kind of paedo from it as Fox News is clearly trying to do, that's your prerogative

Quite interesting watching the Sky News "Hotspots" episode on the US election. If you ever wanted to see pure left wing media bias then this is it.
It spends the whole hour depicting violent, looting BLM protestors, Antifa and Biden supporters as heroes while depicting every Trump supporter going as some kind of militant, white supremacist murderer. Its absolutely outlandish.
Roll on 13th June and GB News.

Just a minor correction -- he's Governor of New York State, not Mayor of New York City. I hope he resigns or is impeached and removed as soon as possible as a result of this inexcusable behavior. I'm a Democrat and am frustrated to no end by the significant number of members of my party who are making excuses for him just because he's on our side politically.

He was a breath of fresh air early doors with Covid, his press conference's were detailed and looked like a man doing everything to save the lives of New Yorkers. These developments are abhorrent, and as a consequence he needs removing/impeaching/sacking immediately. The fact he continues to linger is even more damaging to his reputation and his own President has gone on record correctly to say he needs to step down. It's not often the Guardian and Telegraph are in unison.

Every time this thread pops up it just reminds me how pleasant it is not to have that orange fool in the White House spouting nonsense on Twitter every five minutes, fomenting discord and anger at every turn, dominating the headlines every day with some random, unsubstantiated QAnon-lite bollocks and generally dragging political discourse endlessly down.
He was an embarrassment, frankly.

Could you imagine Republican politicians working to bring down a Republican leader for sexual assault or crimes. Lol. This sort of stuff is why democrats keep underperforming in elections.
