I don't give a balls 'where' he played them, they're holding midfielders. If Danny Batth starts up front against Watford, he'll still be a Centre Half. He's played an overly cautious, creatively-lacking, midfield trio. Against Rotherham. What a load of garbage Which bit? It's a fact?

Don't know how much to factor in the weather as a mitigating factor - but that really was a dispiriting mess of a performance. I’d never use the weather as an excuse, it’s raining on both teams. Very true - but in conditions like that, it can become a bit of a farce. It was hard to tell just how bad it was. Quite often at our ground, I've walked out at full-time to discover just how hellish conditions have been as I'm nearly knocked off my feet by the wind, and have had to factor that in to how I view the performance and offer a slither of mitigation. Can't really argue that it wasn't a pitiful display though

Not sure Bursik will be in between the sticks on Friday. At fault for the 2nd and will probably be unhappy with his part in the opener. I hope we do but I can't see O'Neill sticking with him with 2 experienced keepers back available. I worry you might be right. I hope he starts but wonder if he's looking over his shoulder. Whatever happens he has done us proud this season and he has the talent to have a great career

We kept going despite gut drenching set backs, which is a good sign..We never let our heads drop, but we looked very disjointed. Mikel is a worry for me, seems to have lacked some mobility since his injury.

I’ve been effusive in my praise of Bursik the young lad but he made a big mistake tonight. Still think he’s doing brilliantly after a few early bad games
I think the issue is a lack of fluidity and a fucking huge issue of a lack of striker.
Sign a striker and I think once injuries are resolved (big if) we might push on.
Short memories from some of you of when we were haemorrhaging goals.
Get off the manager’s back (or don’t, it is a message board)

Getting rather tiresome with MON costing us points after points, he’s stagnant beyond belief. I’m not expecting the earth but Christ this bloke is now seriously delusional with his approach to games, it’s Rotherham for friggs sake. How we are still seventh god knows with this crap I am just hoping he is doing a Pulis and trying to make the board aware that we are desperately in need of a striker, if not he needs someone in charge to have a word with him, this negative rubbish can not continue he's fortunate in a way there are no supporters in the grounds.

Rotherham manager Paul Warne said: “I thoroughly enjoyed that. I don’t normally say that, I’m normally a nervous kitten. It’s a shame there weren’t fans in – Stoke and Rotherham – and I’m sure they would have clapped off both teams.
“It’s a game we could have won or lost. It was a very strong bench from Stoke. They could bring on a former Liverpool player and a £10m winger.
“Stoke have probably assembled the best squad in the league and they could freshen it up. Overall I’m cockahoop with our lads. I’m really proud.
“Stoke had a £10m winger on one side in Matondo and could bring on Jack Clarke – you’re talking about world class players.
“Our second half performance was really good. We said to be braver and we created enough chances to win the game. To go a goal down, then go 2-1 up, 3-2 up… it was an exciting game. I would have paid to watch it.”

It's very simple for me. The 1st choice 11 is top 4 material. Any deviation from that and we have players who are not simply just not good enough - but worse than that can turn a win into a draw, or a draw into a defeat, and lose us points (as demonstrated by Volkes and Baath in extremis.) Given this it's not surprising a cautious approach is being adopted when the preferred 11 is not available.
That said - MON still needs to give his head a wobble and decide what his plans are for this squad for the rest of the season. Although the Rotherham blokes had a touch of the Pulisisms with the; "they have 5 full internationals on the bench", they are correct and not many clubs in this division can say that. We have a a very strong squad and should be making it much harder for teams like rotherham (who played well but are 2nd from bottom for a reason).
MON is a very good manager but he is having a poor spell and needs to rethink a bit. Also, this tiresome pissing around across the back 5 needs to stop sharpish.
Anyway, we didn't lose, we saw the absolute class that is Powell lay on a sitter for Baath and score a beauty. I am confident MON will improve things, but it maybe too late for playoffs now.
Anyway, we are Stoke and will probably batter Watford now.

We never go for the jugular. It seems like we put minimum effort in to every game.

FFS. We've scored 3 away from home. Theres no pleasing some people. Barring very poor defending who knows. We deserved nothing from that game Rotherham fought for every ball. We didn’t look interested on a wet cold Tuesday evening in Rotherham. We are 4 points off 7th but 6th place has 3 games in hand. We are miles off top 6 in reality, especially as we only got there with Campbells pace and goals behind us. I think we’ll end up halfway. To be honest that's where I thought we would finish. MON is building a team that can compete and if we we would get promoted then great, but we as fans need to real and sit back and look at this long term. If we did go up do you really think we would stay up, I certainly don't. Next season is when we can judge MON.

FFS. We've scored 3 away from home. Theres no pleasing some people. Barring very poor defending who knows. It was fucking shit. Against a team in the bottom 3, there for the taking, he plays 3x holding midfielders? It's a joke. It could finish 2-2, 3-3 or 6-6, it doesn't alter the fact, we were shit, and easily should/could have lost by conceding even more than we did. But we didn't and got point we move on.

How can the ref book a player for time-wasting in added time yet blow the whistle at bang on 4minutes? Another 2 points that MON has cost us. Is that 1 win in 11 now? Why haven't we signed a striker yet? Why not start with the best team we have? Why keep Mikel on for 90 minutes when he is shit AND fucking knackered. Grow a set of bollocks, sign a desperately needed striker, fuck your favourites off and try to win a football game FFS Too late now for the play offs. We've come through the easiest run of games with 1 win in 11. Bollock-less We have every chance of getting to the playoffs.

The commentators saying that was the worse free kick they had seen all season by McLean.. Best pair of commentators I've heard for many years. Just felt like they were sitting alongside us chatting away and having a laugh - with some absolutely vintage stuff. Breath of fresh air. Even spent time talking about Stokies. Those commentators against Leicester and Blackburn were utter drivel.
